Rebels hold the entire city of Ajdabiya having forced the Gaddafi forces to outside of the East and West gates.

Gaddafi forces are staying in their tanks for cover during the day, however are commandeering civilian vehicles to come into the city by night. the Rebels are unable to hold the east and west gates due to tank fire

Why would they be trying to get into the city looking like civilians?
so they don't get bombed by coalition forces.

the instant it looks like they are mounting an offensive on a town coalition forces will bomb them

You think they would just stop? (not the bombing)
Or send in a special forces team (Seals or another nations special forces.)

There is. SAS and JTF-2 are on the ground.

Agreed. All the changes are good and add variety. Do we really want another Halo 3? Just running around with one gun and no armor abilities? It's good that 343 wants to try something new. Do we really want the same thing for three more games?

Whoa!

Way to go rebels! The snipers that were killing them from the top of the hospital? Very impressive.

Well why not just send in one of the special forces to take out the dictator? (not even going to try and spell his name lol)

Probably because even the Rebels want him alive so he can be put on trial

political fall out of a coalition force capturing Gaddafi wouldn't be good either. This needs to be a Libyan revolution so that they can claim legitimacy

17:20 It would appear that reports of US Osprey crew shooting 6 villagers are false. There were warning shots fired at some Gaddafi forces that were moving in to investigate however, no body was hit.
I saw the video on Channel 4 news of the people who were hospitalised in the incident - it definitely happened.

Infact, here's the video a few paragraphs down
While I have to say that the article looks valid, both the US and Canada are denying it and all other news sources are supporting them. Not saying their lying, but why dies only Channel4 have this info and why aren't other source corroborating it?

Could be a cover up - news during war is always questionable, but alot of British papers have covered this story.

Ban Kai-moon says the international community should speak with one voice with enforcing resolution 1973 and protecting civilians. He sees no evidence that Gaddafi wants a cease fire, to the contrary it looks like he wants to fight harder. Calls for end to violence have been ignored by Gaddafi. He says threat there is no evidence the Libyan Govt has taken steps to comply with resolutions.

Turkey's demands have been met, NATO has taken command of the Coalition. More on this in about half an hour at a press conference.

it's possible, yet i am still more ready to believe foreign news on this one, rather than domestic, they tend to be biased against the west and would run with these stories if they felt there was merit to them. either way, lets stick to reporting what we have, rather than turning this into an argument

Good. I've been following this for quite spme time now and firmly believe a more militaristic aproach should be taken, one only capable of being delivered by a man with firm military experience. Gadaffi (I don't know how to spell his name) won't give in without a fight, a fight the Rebels cannot survive without support

It was a plane with military markings that was in the air during a no-fly zone. it was a legitimate target that was in direct opposition of the no-fly zone.

I'm happy the French shot it down. It shows the coalition isn't kidding about it. They need to enforce it. and if they don't want to be shot down, don't take off when you know flying will be met with hostile action
