Apparently there's a bunch of female hostages at Gadaffi's compound. That means no firebombing.

NATO did say they would put soldiers on the ground if needed, could he be trying to lure us in to it?

Rebels been pushed back slightly by Loyalist forces. while Foreign ministers in London debate what is to happen

Whats really interesting is finding out who we are fighting for. NATO says there are of al queda members in the rebel forces, but they are few and far between. Also they were debated whether to train and arm the rebels, as it is unclear if air support will actually turn the tide.

I was wondering, couldnt we just put tiny explosives or tracking chips in the weapons we give to the rebels, so that after they take out gaddafi, we could just destroy or collect them all.

I thought we were there just to make the battle even (and maybe secretly give the Rebels an advantage, but not giving them actual air support).

I was wondering, couldnt we just put tiny explosives or tracking chips in the weapons we give to the rebels, so that after they take out gaddafi, we could just destroy or collect them all.A good answer, but not a realistic answer.

Shes probably in prison or dead. Knowing gaddafi

And how isnt it a realistic answer? Im sure its well within our capability and i dont think the rebels could remove them, if they were well hidden or well placed

money is the issue there, not to mention having to redesign the weapons around that specification

I was talking about puting explosives or tracking devices in the guns we give to the rebels.

And i thought she said she had been raped by gaddafi troops

The rebels have apparently lost Ras Lanuf resulting in the loss of what they have gained over the past 2 days.

Reports say that Tripoli is now running out of supplies. They are no longer creating their own fuel as the workers have all left as they were foreign workers, as well as there is a food shortage on Gaddafi held areas as Egypt is refusing to export food, and fish that they used to export to Libya. Tripoli Fisherman are not able to fish either due to the NATO blockade.

3 Gaddafi coast guard ships were engaged this morning by NATO forces, one ship was destroyed, one seriously damaged and one captured, as they attempted to leave harbour.

US says it will not arm the rebels, however the French and the Qatari are saying they are looking into it.

We cant starve tripoli. All that would do is harm civilians and im pretty sure NATO will stop after reports of civlians in tripoli starving come in

exactly. the thing is that even if we were to let fishing ships out of port, countries like Egypt are refusing to ship to Gaddafi held areas, only to the rebels. and Libya relies heavily on Egypt for food.

the idea of this is to grab attention in that time and keep it longer.

There's talks of sending in a team to capture Gadaffi.

For thread:I'm back at work so I'll also be assisting OP with updates.
I heard rumblings of that here with the people i know in the CF.

Wonder if JTF-2 would be involved. After all they are already there, and it's the type of thing they are trained for.
