well, i assume the Rebels will say what they are...
A few of the main points

The AU deal's main points are:

An immediate ceasefire
The unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid
Protection of foreign nationals
A dialogue between the government and rebels on a political settlement
The suspension of Nato airstrikes

Yeah that last one isn't going to happen.

the cease fire requires NATO to make a move aswell. you can't negotiate a cease fire and expect a third party who was not involved in the negotiation to act accordingly.

People dont actually expect gaddafi to stop attacking the rebels. He so far has made 2 or 3 ceasefires and he has broken all of them

Ivory Coast's Laurent Gbagbo arrested

Ivory Coast leader Laurent Gbagbo has been detained, after being snatched from his besieged residence in the country's main city, Abidjan.

News that he was being held was broken by a Gbagbo aide and confirmed by France's ambassador and forces loyal to his rival Alassane Ouattara.

French tanks earlier advanced on the presidential residence in Abidjan.

Mr Gbagbo has been refusing to cede power to Mr Ouattara after losing November's presidential election.
And now we see if he had any legitimate power. if his armies keep fighting he actually had a hold on some of the country. if they stop, this thing's over!

The Rebels have officially refused Gaddafi's and the AU's proposal for a ceasefire saying that unless the proposal has a clause in it that will unseat Gaddafi or his family from power they will not accept it. That is there only term and only condition for entering talks. Gaddafi and his family must go FIRST.

the catch with doing that is then the people see it as a puppet government.

they would mind. they want a government that they feel represents them, not a single person or any other nation.

setting one up for them is a touchy thing to do.

for 5000 years egypt has never chosen its Government. This is the 1st time they get to choose and you want to take that opportunity away from them?

The government they choose will likely be a corrupt one, which will rig the next elections, massacre any protestors and not give a rats ass about the people they are supposed to be representing.

I personally want to give them something more than this.
