What do they mean?

On Halo 1, on the bridge of The Pillar of Autumn, there is a number sequence on a control panel. The sequence is as follows:

072592 397821 227625
871153 471500 000692

Halo 1 Numbers

This same number sequence is also found on the Halo 2 mission Cairo Station. The numbers on Cairo Station are seen on a control panel when you have a visual of The Malta Station exploding.

Halo 2 Numbers

I have yet to find these numbers on Halo 3, ODST, or Halo Reach.

Update: The Halo 1 numbers can be found all over the Pillar of Autumn. The easiest places to find them are the bridge and the cryo chamber where you first start the game. Also, there are more number sequences underneath the regular 6 string numbers. They appear like this:

0692

More numbers appear below like this:

6920692
209269

The Halo 2 numbers are found all over Cairo Station near computer terminals and the like. They can also be found in the mission The Armory. Also, half of the Halo 2 numbers can be found above and to the right of the regular 6 string numbers. Those numbers appear like this:

000692
227625
397821

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

Interesting. Nice find OP.

Any help finding these numbers in the other Halo games would be appreciated. Try to look around computer terminals and servers in-game. Thanks!

Update:

The same numbers are also found in Halo 1 in the Pillar of Autumn's engine room in the mission The Maw. They are located on the first floor on some servers underneath the engine vents.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Interesting. I think finding them in ODST will be quite the challenge.

We should probably look in Halo 3 first because it would only make sense. They may not even be there, but hey, it's worth looking i guess. Pay special attention to human created machinery.

I decided to write down the numbers on the Halo 2 find. I randomly encountered them while revisiting the Halo 1 find.

I found them a long time ago and nobody paid attention to me. I recently decided to revisit it.

Here's the old thread:
http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=23156343

Please keep all posts relating to this topic in this new thread though. Once again, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

On the Halo Wikia page (Cairo Station) it says.

"In the room you first get grenades in, there is a terminal. On it, in multipe places, these numbers are on it: 073592 | 397821 | 227625 | 871153 | 471500 | 000692 It is unknown what these numbers mean, but they are possibly a pass code to open the air lock doors in the pelican bay (being that is where the termianals are found)."

linky - right at the bottom. Although I doubt their theory is correct since it in Halo CE too.

Thanks for searching other channels. I tried google-ing the numbers, but all that came up was this forum and some other forum in a different language (french?).

On another note, apparently no one has any idea what these numbers are. Any suggestions?

No luck finding them on H3, ODST, or Reach yet.

I find it much more plausible that they just came up with that set of numbers and re used it whenever they needed numbers flashing on machinery. They did re use entire levels, why wouldn't they re use numbers?

MCz

I dont believe it to be an easter egg. Easter eggs are meant to be found, if this was the case than BUNGiE would have already revealed it to us. Anyway, nice find :)

x0x x0x x00 0xx 0x0 x0x 0x0

I have seen you future

Easter eggs would be no fun if they just told us where they were.

Besides, I wouldn't put it past Bungie to hide an incredibly difficult Easter egg.

The textures are a little different. I think they would have to purposely reuse these numbers.

mayb theres somewhere that you could type it in and get the real easter egg?
