Well, OP you actually couldn't be an ODST and a soldier.

A Solder is in the Army, ODSTs are Marines. You never call a Marine a soldier.

You realise "Soldier" can be used in the generic sense as well yeah? I can call a marine a soldier as he's a member of the armed forces involved in ground fighting. He might not like it as it wouldn't be recognising his specialisation, but that's just a distinction on what kind of soldier he is-one that typically deploys from a ship.

A Spartan is called as a soldier multiple times.

quod te non occidit, te fortiorem faciet

ODST explosives and heavy weapons specialist, or specialized in assassinations :).
Vehicle specialist would also be cool.

I'd be a Naval Pelican pilot. I'd be the crazy guy who would go in to pull troops out of the worst situations. Kinda like Foehammer, except I'd be able to get away from banshees that are going 5 miles an hour, lol.

I'd be a member of the 250th Dropship Squadron "The Phantom Killers." We would operate out of Halcyon Class the UNSC Hybris.

I put the laughter in manslaughter

I would use the assault rifle and be "that guy" who gets killed first.

(0_o) ROAR!!!

i would be noble 6 and have an awesome last stand fight like in game killing over 200 covenant before dieing!

SMAC station Commander: my weapon of choice is obvious, as my inner ork screams to have the biggest and most powerful shoota in the UNSC.

Military policeman

If you can read this, that means I'm not a Shaolin monk...

yet.

I would like to be a pilot, or in an anti-boarding squad.

  • 03.23.2011 11:34 AM PDT

I would just ride shotgun :)

From what I recall, being a pelican-pilot has a death-rate of 100% upon crashing, in all the books/games I´ve read so far. Even if they dont crash, they seem to die anyway, just to prove a point I guess. So thats a no.

I guess I would be a regular Marine at first, but due to brain-damage from birth, I´m forced to choose the most dangerous action possible, unless order not to. That gives me a ticket into the ODST, forcing me into training into a ODST the rest of my life, until my very first mission, to enter a covenant flagship from orbit above Earth. But I´m not THE Rookie, that drops with Buck.

So then I die. (But I was unconscious though, because I -blam!- my pants in the drop, and pass out.)

Fire for Effect. Fire and Forget.

I have a strange feeling you'd be issued a gun, and you would have to work pretty hard to get into the ODST, but I would be in the ODST.

Also I would be the "new guy" in the squad who in like 19, and so I get on Reach like the day before it's attacked, and freak out, then my squad gets out, only to arrive on Earth the day before it's invaded. Feelsbadman

Hmmmm.... spec ops ODST. high risk missions, but being in a small squad and movving fast would increase the survival rate. :)

Weapons: sniped rifle, shotgun, both supressed

  • 03.23.2011 12:08 PM PDT

I'd be a Major, use Assault Rifle and Spartan Laser. Serve on the front lines with Spartans like Noble.

I would be a spartan that has a silenced Sniper Rifle and a silenced assault rifle that is a special operations assasin.

Don't give up easily. Make your enemy fight for every victory that they try to get. Be ready for a hard-fought victory.

This simply means that I'll go down swingin'.

ODST if I could.

Failing that, a Longsword pilot would be my second option

Third option: Super MAC gunner. Who wouldn't like to shoot the biggest -blam!-ing gun in the UNSC!

There once was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everyone died.

The end.

SCFH

I'd be that one guy who always stays behind with a Sniper and cleanly pick off enemies one by one, out of sight from the enemies.

Save Lives. Go Vegan.

I'd be a Spartan-II. Stronger and better armored than anyone else, no reason not to be. The CE magnum is one of my favorite weapons, but I don't know if it's really as powerful and accurate in the canon as it is in CE... I'd really be up for anything ranging from CQB to sniping. Especially stealth missions.

I'd be a member of one of the Headhunter teams, taking Elites skulls as a trophy. I'd rather be a S-II than a S-III though.

Like in daily life an ICT/medic/logistic worker;.. Deploying the units, Finding out their status, order the pick ups of wounded and taking care of them... I never would be a real soldier considering my health problems they would not allow it but an medic is still an rewarding job if you can save people's life..
