IEdit: Oh, I just remembered. If you're shooting at a target that's a good distance away from you and moving horizontally across your field of vision, you'll need to learn to 'lead' your shots... that is, to shoot slightly ahead of them (predict where they'll be when your bullet passes by). You probably already knew this, as it's a pretty basic strategy, but I thought I'd share cause combat is hectic and sometimes I forget some things that are really obvious! ;-)
An excellent point. While this may be one of the most repeated tips anyone can learn (Right up there with "Always reload, whenever possible"). Leading someone is a key to a effective combat strategy. Leading is a function of speed and distance. Even though a target may be moving slowly, if they are a ways out, it takes your shot that much longer to hit the target.
So in short, the farther out/faster the target is, the more you lead.
Also, while head shots are the 1337 way to punk someone they are not always practical. Try for shoot in a target's center-of-mass. Save the head shots for the right tool, the S2 AM.
