I just got a new Xbox 360 Slim and I have all of my Halo 2 DLC saved to my old 360's hard drive. Is there any way I can transfer it over from my old 360's hard drvie to my new 360 Slim's hard drive?

Halo 2 for Life!

that is a headache.... I wish you luck but don't expect it will be easy (Microsoft made transfering data very difficult for some reason... when it should be easy...).

Just get a transfer cable. Some of the big-box stores have them in stock.

I figured just moving it with a flash drive would be easier. I heard that when you transfer it with a transfer cable then XBOX originals data will become corrupted.

Is there anyone out there who has tried this or done it successfully?

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

It's impossible to move it to a flash drive.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

You don't have a multiplayer map pack disk?

Disk won't give you the last 2 maps.

Yeah, Hitboxing = fail. For example, a certan user from the maw who has never played Halo 2 Xbox online links to this halo 2 bash video (its much less exreme in acutial gameplay) which shows hitboxing, but it also exists in halo 3, which also has unbalanced weps and n00b armor (recon).

They can also be ordered online at Microsoft's website.

You can't transfer the maps over with a transfer cable. Once you do that it says something about having to have the rights to the maps again? Something like that. Basically asking you to redownload them, but, of course, you can't. The only way I have the maps I do now is through the Multiplayer Map Pack disc I bought whenever it came out.

Yes, you can transfer the map packs. I wrote to MS and this is their reply:

Hello Patrick,

Thank you for contacting Online Support for XBOX. My name is Dylan and I will be helping you today with this issue.

Patrick, as I understand your issue, you waned to know how to fully transfer your Map Packs to your new console. If I have misunderstood your issue, please let me know. I'll be glad to help you on this and I do apologize for the inconvenience that this has brought you.

Patrick, we could redownload the Map Packs, to the new console, but we also need to transfer the license to the new console so all of the contents will be available for use.

Here is how to download your previously purchased contents:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/962228

And please use this link for the License transfer:

I hope that I have addressed your concerns concisely and directly. I am glad to have worked with you today.

They are giving you a canned response, assuming you are using 360 live. Then again, judging by your previous posts, you don't read your sources at all. From the article:

Download again by using an Xbox 360 console

Sign in to Xbox LIVE by using the gamertag that you were using when you originally downloaded the content.
Press the Guide button on the controller.

Xbox Guide button

Go to the Settings area, and then select Account Management.

Select Account Management

Select Download History.

Select Download History

Select the item that you want to download.

Select the item that you want to download

Select Download Again.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each item that you want to download again.

Since the Xbox 1 has no DL history, you can't do that.
Oh, and 360 in emulation mode = Xbox 1.
