About 20 games ago, when I didn't realize there was a matchmaking penalty for quitting (unlike H3 where you lose an experience point), I quit two games early. About five games later, the ubiquitous message shows up notifying me of a potential temporary ban if I continue to quit early. Informed and warned, I dropped that behavior, regardless of the terrible likely outcome in a match. That went fine for the next 15 game as I worked to within a grand of Captain. The next game played "normally" if you call a 5-30 slayer start and nearly impossible opponent play "normal." Only one other teammate and I stuck it out to the end. Then, no onscreen game report or stats showed up on bungie. net. I then started another match and it opened with about ten glitches in the pre-start screens. Finally, play proceeded normally for a few minutes. BLAM End-game screen with only me showing with a "Win" and a bungie announcement that there were "Network difficulties," requiring a restart of the match. Of course, I was now banned for another early exit. WTF is going on, bungie?? I'm Ethernet with 10mbps service and my adjacent laptop didn't have a network issue. So, this wasn't my ISP or network difficulty yet now all my matchmaking is screwed. Two legitimate early exits in 100 matches and one exit not of my doing? Again, WTF, bungie?! As you say, "Play nice." I'm waiting.
