They should only make one if it has a hard drive, and is compatible with Xbox 1 games. If not, then hell no.

Moot Point. They already are.

-- and they had better since no Xbox2 means no Halo sequels, ever again. Then we'd better start praying PS3 kicks buttocks or we'll be stuck with Gamecube 2 playing Advanced Pokemon for the rest of our lives.

Oh my word.... no Halo... Pokemon forever... I think... no... I'm going insane!

Talk about a moot point. That's the most stereotypical depiction of the gamecube I've ever seen. I bet you've never even played one, you goddamn little fanboy. Each system has it's own pluses and minuses, why can't you just enjoy the good games on each system, instead of worrying about which system it's on. If it's a good game, play it. And to prove my point about gamecube, have you played Wind Waker, Metroid: Prime, or Viewtiful Joe? They're all exclusive, and they all kick ass. So shut up about which console pwns the other, and just enjoy gaming in general.

It's not so much a question of whether or not MS should make an Xbox 2, it's whether or not Bungie should make a Halo 3. I know it's a long ways away and we haven't even gotten to play Halo 2, but still, I wouldn't mind seeing another Halo game on Xbox 2. If Bungie did make a Halo 3, it wouldn't be out in time for the launch of XBox 2.

*sighs* Man, you just can't make a joke on a forum can you without it backfiring... Would you like me to go on about Gamecube having a diverse selection of games that appeal to many different audiences? Remember, Gamecube had Resident Evil Zero exclusively. I sell the things and while I don't own one it's not because of game selection but because it doesn't have DVD capability. Different game systems have their own strengths and weaknesses.

"Pokemon forever" Right. I don't need to argue with you about it though, it seems that you aren't a fanboy, rather just someone who posts really "funny" "jokes" on the forum and expects other people not to take them seriously. But whatever, not a big deal.

Thank you Gentlemen. By the way... speaking of Gamecube... wouldn't it be hilarious if Masterchief finally took off his helmet and it was Samus?

hahahahahaha that would be so cool! hahahaha! although... it would raise ALOT of suggestive inquiries..... not to mention, i would question Samus' progesterone level.... you DO hear the MC talk, and its a deep, creepy-ily amazing voice that would scare the -blam!- outta me if he walked around a corner with the BF in his hand.... although it would be pretty funny if it was her! another thing! me and my friends have come to the conclusion that, Gamecube is more of a party/group game system, PS2 is a sport/racing game system, and XBOX is a FPS/Gun involvement game system

*grins* Well, MC's voice could be modulated. He might be a she *lol*. If it wasn't for the books I'd suggest that all Spartans have their voices modulated to sound identical. This would freak out the Covenant who, since Spartans would only be deployed individually, would view the Spartan as a single immortal warrior. Given the religious bent on the covenant that would be a good tactic.

Oh, and I wouldn't classify consoles so simply. Sony has most of the Final Fantasy franchise and most of the RPG's... but Link and Zelda kick buttocks in the RPG department.

That would scare the Covenant, I know I'd freak out if I thought one man was everywhere kicking my forces' butts.

As far as consoles go, Gamecube was alright at first, it had some good exclusive games that I liked. For the past year or so though, the selection of quality new games for mature gamers has declined to the point of nonexistance. It's really dried up out there with loss of 3rd party support. Even Factor 5 (Rogue Squadron 1, 2, & 3) has jumped ship. Nintendo has been kind of desperate in the U.S. this generation of consoles. I've never seen another console drop to $99.99 so fast.

Okay, Xbox 2, or Xenon, as you all refuse to beleive it's named, will just be a step up. You can probably play all old X box games on it. It's not due out until 2007 anyway so shut the -blam!- up and stop worrying abou it. This is the seventh time today you have mentioned Xenon like it's the goddamed plague.

There has been no name announced, Xenon is a rumor. It has not been decided if old Xbox games will be playable, although I'm sure they will. It is due out LATE 2005 so you shut up. Get a clue.

I'll stick by my date until it's in my hands. As for you, go in a corner and flame yourself to death.

What does flame mean anyway?

Oh, and for something due out next year, they would have a name by now, quarterwit.

Well, if you must be abusive we should note that the Xbox 2 has not veen named like "Bring the Noise" stated. The "Xeon" is an intel based processor used mostly for corporate servers. The 2007 release date is old news and was recently restated to be an estimated late 2005 release.

However, Xbox games will be supported on the Xbox2 assuming the guys they hired to do the emulation do their job correctly. I posted a link to the Kikizo article earlier but I'm not going to bother reposting it here.

Stick to your date untill your blue in the face (If I was as idiotic as you I'd hold on to any date I could get my hands on too). While you stick to you're 'date', I'll be playing Dark Sector in little over a year.

They have a name for the xbox 2 genius, the just haven't announced it yet.

Flame, it's what your parents should have baptised you in.

I strongly believe that Microsoft should make an Xbox 2. Look at how good they have done with the first one. Hell with all the genius they have in Microsoft, they could make it really good. I just wish that there could be a way to do virtual reality things. You know, like getting a suit of something, and a gun. Turn on Halo or Halo 2, and have the gun have sensor that go to the T.V., so you can aim and shoot. Something along those lines, I would enjoy it.

Just think if they could get computer to think and function like our brains do. Then in the virtual reality one (if it happened), we could talk to the computer setting up our own stategies on an attack. Telling them where to position, which covies you'll get, ect. I wish Xbox 2 could have that capability....just a thought though...
