Is this a bannable offense? Putting a link to someone's group that says something bad about that group. Because someone is doing that to me and i relaly don't appreciate it. I remember getting blacklisted because i had something offensive in my signature (i was a noob) and i chagned it if i didn't Shiska would've kept that ban up.

I was wondering if a moderator could be so kind and help with this. If you need more info just ask and i'll tell the specific details.

There is a reason I am user ID 1 and my account creation date is before this site came online.

My guess is, but I'm not a mod, that what happens in the chapters are not the concern of the bungie.net forum. So, putting that in there, will probably get your thread locked down. But that's my guess.

I'm thinking along the same lines as BB. Although, the sig may count as flaming. Not sure.

Yep. Regular moderators don't have any powers over the Bnet groups, unless they are promoted within those groups, as they inherently are. Thus, their jurisdiction does not extend beyond these forums, and so what happens in groups is the business of those that are members to that group.

I believe they can get in trouble. They need your consent to put something offfensive about you in their signature- calling your group an insulting name is insulting, correct? So unless you told them they could have it they'll probably be asked to remove it or take a "vacation".

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

I'm going to agree with Pimp on this one.

Regardless of whether or not it is a Chapter, flaming is flaming. It's against the Bungie rules. Surely, a mature member would find a different way to hate a group. Making it public just raises tensions and ends up in the purchasing of Timeshares for a while.

Heh. I guess what Mabian and I are getting at (I think =P) is that it's fine to hate another chapter in your chapter. Once it's in your signature though, it's on the public forums. The mods do have authority there, hence, said offender will most likely be punished.
