Where was it?

Was it within 25,000 light-years of Earth?

I have no idea where it was located aside from the fact that it is orbiting Substance.

My jokes, so I don't lose them (ignore this):
ZedFish's Opinion on Sgt. Foley.
ZedFish's Forerunner Rickroll.

We have no idea, I guess. It was never really said.

Because if it was farther away than the 25,000 light years wouldn't it have been better for Humanity? Most of the Covenant would be gone.

About 12000-13000 light years from Earth.

I have never got this either. UNSC ships can only travel two light years a day. If it took two weeks (correct if I'm wrong) for Pillar of Autumn to get to Installation 04 that would mean Installation 04 is 28 light years from Earth. Now if all Halo's are in a heptagon formation around Milky Way how can Installation 05 be so close for UNSC to get there because it would be at least 20,000 light years from Earth. Which would take 10,000 days which means 27 and half years. Explain this.

It took about a month for the PoA to reach 04.

Are you high? It was much less, August 30th to September 19th, 20 days, not 31.

Hasn't the only time the UNSC traveled there been in the wake of Covenant ships? Which can travel at over 912 ly/day.

Isn't it 912 per day? It can't be by hour, if it is, where is your source?

Yeah, it's greater than 912 ly/day, not hour.

"Human Slipspace velocities are far slower than those of the Covenant, able to carry a ship at an unimaginable speed of approximately 2.625 light years per day, while Covenant ships can reach 912.12 light years per day."

That should help.

In Amber Clad was piggy backing off of Regret's carrier, and the portal was also generated by Regret's carrier and not In Amber Clad, so there's your answer for why they got their so quickly.
