Subject: Which should I get?

THIS IS HALO!And Pizza FTW!!!

I would like to get either Halo Custom Edition,Or Halo 2.However,Halo 2 has fewer mods, but has online play, while from what I've gathered from Halo CE,has many mods, but no multiplayer or co-op.It would be extremely helpful if someone could tell me whether Halo CE does or doesnt, and if either has any sort of co-op mode compatible with mods,or a multiplayer with at least 100 people still playing. Please clsrify and thank you in advance.

Halo 1 PC as well as Halo Custom Edition both have online play. Not cooperative campaign, though.

PS there are no good custom maps for H2 PC.

Halo CE still has alot of servers going just make sure to press the get server list button at the bottom right when you go into the multiplayer browser.

''We ride together, we die together, bro's and bad boys for life''

Halo PC/CE has multiplayer but not co-op. Or well, it has co-op on some fan-made maps that are pretty fun, such as this or this. I actually played both those maps with my friends once, it was extremely funny. I'd get Halo CE.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

I'll make this easy for you.

MODS:
Halo CE has em. The whole shebang. H2V is only capable of custom maps. Modding can't be done without some digging that most people aren't willing to do.

MULTIPLAYER:
Both have it. HCE has far more players on, at least 6x as much as H2V at any given time. H2V never breaks 100 players online at any given time, and HCE constantly has over 300, usually more mid-day.

CO-OP:
Neither game has it.

urm Custom Edition is free as long as you have Combat Evolved on PC or Mac. Get Halo 2 it can be annoying some times but it's a great game imo.

You, because you found interest in posting. I only posted cuz I was shocked that someone said CE plays faster than H2V. Then again, Dusk would be the one!

Halo PC's netcode causes it to be much slower paced than any other Halo on any platform. By a long shot.

I'd say Halo PC. If you learn how to deal with the netcode it is truly one of the greatest Halo experiences you could ever have. Definitely if you have Custom Edition. I've bought it three times since 2003 and have never regretted it. (Various reasons why I had to rebuy it twice)

Hello lady. Look at your comment. Now look at Reach. Now back to your comment, now back to Reach. Sadly, your comment is dumb. But if you stop posting dumb crap and start posting with intelligence, your comment might look like it came from someone with a brain. Look down. Back up. Where are you? You're at a computer posting about something you clearly know nothing about. What's in your hand? Back at the computer screen. It's posted. It's a post that wouldn't exist in the mind of someone with even an average intellect. Look again. The post is now being laughed at. Anything is possible when you're a Halo 2oob and not experienced with good FPS gaming. I'm on a better game.

Halo CE forever!

All Halos are slow-paced and while it's true that Halo CE is slower than Halo 2 it doesn't change the fact that Halo CE is a better game.

*Sigh* I was saying because of the netcode it causes the game to become slower seeing as though it's harder to get headshots when compared to other Halo games. If you could record any entire match anyone would see that the normal Halo PC encounter isn't a 3 shot-kill experience with the pistol. It involves the people trying to lead their shots for a good amount of time strafing left to right. I'm not saying the mechanics of the game its self cause the kill times to be slower, but, the netcode does. I don't see how anyone who has played PC doesn't see this...

I'm not a "Halo 2oob" I play many other games. I started playing Halo on Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001. Before that I played Quake III Arena. I complained about how big the hitboxes were when Halo 2 came out. I hated everything about it when it first came out. It's not until recently that I started to enjoy it for the core game design instead of the many problems it has for it being rushed. All I'm trying to say is that the only problem with Halo PC is the netcode which does in fact slower the pace of the game. If you disagree with that fact then you're obvious a "Halo 1oob". Just as nostalgically blind as the people in the Halo 2 forum. It doesn't have to be fast-paced to take skill. Halo PC is the most skillful Halo out of any in the series. For the same reason it's slower-paced.

I'm the biggest moron? You guys are the ones saying HCE was slower-paced than H2V. I mean, I'm sorry you guys only played baddies, but when you play with people who are actually good at the game, encounters last maybe a second before someone's dead.

The FACT is that HCE has the fastest average kill times out of every single Halo game, and HPC only made that faster with the inclusion of KB/M. H2's BR has a slower rate of fire and requires four shots to kill, making the game slower paced. H3's BR was the same way. Reach requires at least 5 shots to kill someone with the DMR. The movement speed has also gotten slower with each Halo game. The suggestion that HPC is slower paced, even with the netcode, is just flat-out stupidity.

I'm sorry you got rocked, Ben. I'm sorry you're garbage and need to retreat to noobtown to pretend you're good. But although "H2V > CE" is indeed an opinion, suggesting that H2 is faster-paced than CE is arguing against irrefutable fact.
