Haven't you wished for more avatars , well why not take the Halo 2 concept of avatars and bring it to Bungie.net without the whole gamertag thing. Just because you don't have xbox live or linking your gt might seem risky should not mean you can't have a unbelievably sweet avatar

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Why not just link your GT? Same thing.

Id do it, but i dont like the idea of giving bungie my credit card number. Has much has i love them, privacy is privacy and i can only handle one idenity theft.

I don't think they get access to it. You link it at XBox.com, and they already have it from when you signed up for Live. I don't think bungie can access it.

Well i have not officially had my own xbox live account because im rather paranoid about identity theft. I bring this up for i don't want to go through the hassle, i just want a cool avatar that shows a sort of signature a person leaves behind.

I think you have a good idea

becuase these avatars wont be hard to implement becuase they are already here, just not available to everyone.

If bungie makes it open for everyone then this place would be more diverse when it comes to avatars.

I guess it would be possible to implement. HBO has a emblem generator right here. So I guess Bungie could make one as well......

I would assume that the ability to use your Halo 2 emblem is a "reward" for linking for Gamertag.

An early example of the karma system? Who knows?
