Battle of Miridem
They where swift and merciless murdering everything. No one knew where or how they came they seemed to be the ops of the covenant. Assigned to the protection of Halsey, Sheila, and a squad of O.D.S.T. This is the odsts point of view...
The skies where raining with debris as I stood, looking at the spartan coming over the hill. Astonished I was to the sight of her carrying a case entitled Oni. She gave the orders to move out silent as the night we started on our way. We approached a farm looked abandoned , yet we were wrong the humans inside we slaughtered and hanged on the walls; blood dripping from there spine from where they had been pierced. They had a old fashioned wagon in their garage it made travel easier for us. Jenkins had his machine gun mounted on the front , Sheila driving, and I with a rocket launcher in the back. The trail was dead, looked as if burned skeletons of humans and aliens invaders scattered. Untold of where we were going sure it would be our death seeing the sights of plasma raining down on our home. No longer was this home but a board game from when I was little; tactics had to be used and the loser here died. Thinking this to myself sent a bone chilling spur down my back. We entered a village with some but few buildings they had a grocery store, this is where we held out for us to regroup.
After about 9 hours of waiting for stragglers, we were now 5 strong. No one else showed, all of them must have been dead. Sadly we got supplies we needed and loaded the wagon again. We set off into the night, blistering cold and ash white as snow rained down on the barren planet. We thought the covenant were all but gone this mission be so simple, or so we thought we encountered ghost's and banshees along the way with near death experiences. It was about 6 in the morning when we reached our destination, the sun peeking over the mountain. The bunker was demolished the side was torn to rubble. Sheila headed in first Br in hand, me behind, and Jenkins the no name's stayed to watch the wagon. The bunker was dim barely could see your own hands let alone ahead. Hands on the shoulders we walked mine on hers hard and rough I could tell my way. Sounds of knocking came from above taking a right up a stair case we marched. Into a laboratory that was unmarked from war, Halsey working on a type of tank. Built to have the same shields of the Spartans but it was in literal tank form.
This is only the begining....
