Subject: How many sets of MJOLNIR armor was issued to Spartan 3's?

My Grandfather was a Desert Ranger, my Father was a Veteran Ranger in the NCR. My father was killed by Caesar's Legion and they took my Brother. It's now my responsibility to uphold the mantle of the Rangers and avenge my Father and find my Brother.

Yeah, NOBLE has 'em so do any other squads of Spartan III's have them or at LEAST armor with shields? Please help!

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Not that many, NOBLE was one of the few cases.

Probably the only ones were NOBLE, RED, ECHO and GAUNTLET teams.

ECHO, or GAUNTLET didn't have them...

Headhunters had armor with shields, and experimental abilities. Overall, not many got MJOLNIR, probably no more then Spartan IIs had.

Did the headhunter armor have different variants like CQB and Recon...stuff like that?

I don't know, but the one had a camo module, the other a different one (From the two we've heard about.) They had shields, which went they couldn't have been basic SPI.

Also, we don't know what Echo or Gauntlet teams had at Reach, as this is the first time they've been mentioned.

Heres the one about team ECHO. Read the side bar thingy where it says equipment.

I'm sure they had MJLONIR, they were Spartan III's, which most likely made them survivors or pull outs from the regular Spartan III companies, just like NOBLE was. I doubt RED, ECHO AND GAUNTLET were a bunch of kids running around in SPI armor while serving on Reach.

Actually on The Ghosts of Onyx book the Spartan IIIs were kids...that went on a mission. Yeah...it sounds weird to me too!

That's a different ECHO team...

Pegasi Delta's ECHO team was confirmed KIA with the rest of the company. How do we even know that the ECHO on Reach was made up of Beta Company S-III's? It was most likely a mixed unit like NOBLE.

We only know of the Alpha, Beta and Gamma companies. Specialized teams like the Headhunters or NOBLE recieved much better equipment since they werent sent on suicide missions.

RED, ECHO and GAUNTLET were most likely teams that served similar roles as NOBLE did in Reach. They were Spec-Ops teams, so by rule, their equipment would be augmentated because of their objects and fewer numbers. These S-III's werent disposable heroes like the rest.

Yeah, they could have smaller versions of it, like Noble Team.

5 for Noble Team's IIIs
1 for Thom (Former Member)
3 for the Spartans Emile, Jun and Jorge replaced (We know Kat and Carter are the only original members)
29 for the Headhunter program (six 2-man teams [12] with 17 rotational replacements)
1 for Spartan-344 (Rosenda)
6 for Gauntlet Team (5 if Rosenda is a member)
6 for Echo Team

So, roughly 54/53 Spartan IIIs received MJOLNIR armour.

I don't get it, if ECHO team was pronounced KIA in Operation: Torpedo which was in the year 2545, then how are they on Reach?

You forgot about RED, which would add up to 59/60 sets of MJLONIR givin out.

Think logically.

This is a different ECHO team. ECHO team from Beta is KIA on Pegasi Delta. This ECHO is a sole-standing Spec-Ops team, nothing to do with Beta Companies ECHO.

Understand?

Both Echo Team and Team ECHO are said to appear on that level. as my good friend would say. What in the hell?

I think it is safe to say that the "Red Team" which Kat/Jun refers to is actually the Spartan II Red Team, based off the fact the Fall of Reach and the Radio transmissions match up in numbers. There is no reason to assume that the "Red Team" mentioned was a Spartan III team and not just a nice reference to novels for the more observational fan.

*sigh*

Dont trust, nor belive everything Halopedia has. They have many errors and faults. Use the webpage only as a guideline.

Whoever edited that article on ECHO team, obviously wasent thinking about two separate teams, it was just easier to categorize them into one. It makes absolutly no sense that ECHO is KIA on Pegasi, but reapears a decade later on Reach, like if nothing happend.

Please, think for yourself. Dont trust halopedia, that site needs a major clean up.

Well the headhunters didn't have MJOLNIR armor, they had different armor...so minus a few...
