Subject: Could it be... Onyx?

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

I was just reading through the article about the Legendary Planet at the end of Halo 3, and one thing popped into my head. Could it be Onyx. This theory has been kicked around a bit before, but I haven't seen a thread about it in awhile.

Think about it, they're both Shields, and Onyx is one of the last known locations of Spartans. Halsey, and Fred for example are still alive inside the Sphere. I know the planet ripped apart at the end to show that the planet was made of Sentinels, but the image DID look like it was made of metal.

This would be an interesting plot, but really, what's left? The Covenant is no more, and the War is over, and humanity has entered a period of Peace. and Heretics, they won't be around because neither are the Covvies.

Look Here for info

My Grandfather was a Desert Ranger, my Father was a Veteran Ranger in the NCR. My father was killed by Caesar's Legion and they took my Brother. It's now my responsibility to uphold the mantle of the Rangers and avenge my Father and find my Brother.

Here look at this!

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

The planet looked like it had surface lights, not made of metal, which would indicate something else.

A functioning Forerunner city? Whole different alien race? We will never know for sure, and I would perfer if we never knew.

"Find The Bomb?!
Find The Bomb?!
I'm Looking For The Flag!
What The Heck Is Assualt!?"

Ancient human planet with the flood cure on it?

Dead Precursor planet?

What I hope for.

I think it's ONYX!

It could be ANY planet, hell, the Covvies loved the Forerunners, maybe when they glassed it made a shine-like burn. Or special burning lasers to desecrate the planet?

War should be the only study of a prince. He should consider peace only as a breathing-time, which gives him leisure to contrive, and furnishes as ability to execute, military plans. -Macchiavelli

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Onyx went boom at the end of the book, so no.

Onyx doesn't exist anymore, so no.

This theory has been kicked around a bit before, but I haven't seen a thread about it in awhile.

So you thought you would try to open up the same theory with no new evidence and despite the fact the theory has been largely disproved time and time again ?

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Better theory. I think we've known the answer since 2007.

Apologies. How's "Incorrect. Just incorrect"? Either way, the Legendary planet is not Onyx and you would have to be a moron to think so.

My guess.

We are all going to get banned aren't we?

Onyx was destroyed so it isn't onyx, but could be another shield world or forerunner colony.

The Forerunner, the Great Journey, and Heaven Theory

[Announcement Trailer] Halo: Forerunner

I lol'd at the absurd miscommunication that occurs whenever dibbs post something. Perhaps his brain is so highly evolved that he can no longer clearly communicate with lesser life forms, even among his own species.

I was just reading through an article about Darfur (the African country) and one thing popped into my head. Is genocide O.K.? This theory has been kicked around a bit before and has actually been evaluated and decided upon (turns out it's not O.K.) but I haven't seen a thread really supporting it in a while so I feel we should do a pros cons evaluation of genocide again.

I am the God Emprah of Mankind.

Deal with it.

No it's not Onyx, if it is (which it's not) then Chief died shortly after.

hehe

I also liked the part where he disproved his own theory by saying that he knew Onyx was destroyed, but still carried on anyway.
