Sure, the title seems a bit unnecessary (Legendary is supposed to be hard) but here's the point:
Last year, my Xbox busted, and Microsoft sent me a new one. Since they didn't keep the old harddrive, that means that all my old games were no more.
So, I had to beat Halo on all the difficulty settings all over again.
I just finished Heroic last week, and it was much harder than I was used to. (I've been playing Halo 2 campaign more so than Halo: CE, and Heroic in H2 is (while still challenging) much easier than in H:CE.
Then, I moved to Legendary. Now, when I beat it originally (in 2002/2003/2004) I did so with my brother in co-op. Since there were a pair of Spartans, it was difficult, but playable and straightforward.
HOWEVER, now going back and playing on my own, I have finally appreciated how well Bungie constructed the AI and environments in the game. Wow, it's hard to beat on your own! So many complex challenges thrown into a certain part of a level; clever, difficult stuff.
I just beat 343 Guilty Spark (not as hard as I thought it would be) I decided to save the Library for tomorrow, which I am dreading. Why?
1. Library on Heroic was horrendously difficult and frustrating for me. So Legendary will be that much more so.
2. I hate the Library because it's so repitive and one-dimensional to play.
3. I hate the lack of variety of enemies. The same Flood guys over and over. I hate the Flood.
