Nope, and I would suspect that until Gears of War 3 is 100% complete we won't be hearing from Traviss for awhile in regards to her Halo novel.

She's been writing GoW novels for quite some time now. She's currently working on one other GoW novel to directly tie in with GoW 3. On top of that she is the head writer of GoW3, so I'd imagine she's quite busy with Gears at the moment to put a large amount of effort into Halo.

yes, but you have to remember Halo is much more important than Gears.

You have to remember that the world doesn't revolve around Halo.

Yeah, I heard she had written Aspho Fields, but I had no idea she was directly involved with the game. Is this the first one she's doing as head writer? Or did she take part in the other two? Unless it's just to make sure that the book and the game dont contradict...

It's her first time directly contributing to the game itself as lead writer, and it already shows because two characters she created in the GoW novel are now making an appearance in GoW 3.

Personally I'm rather interested as to how this turns out for GoW canon since she is directly holding the reigns of the campaign and the expanded universe novels.

In any case this is the Bunige Universe forums, not the Epic Games forums.

Even then, that's pretty interesting. Hopefully her involvment with GoW 3 canon will be less of a mess than Eric Nylund's involment of Reach was.

Frankie recently says it comes out this year.

BTW it isn't a ghosts of onyx sequel,it's just a trilogy after Halo 3.

I know its not a direct sequel, but it might have some ties.
