I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

So since 343 is obviously going to release a Halo title, we need a new composer for Halo. Now I love Marty's music but now we can explore other possible artists.
Stephen Rippy did an amazing job with Halo Wars OST.
But what do you guys think of Hans Zimmer working on the soundtrack for the next big Halo title?

I'm sure he could do a great job with the music for the game, but does he have any experience with the sound mixing required for sound mixing, after all it seems that most of Marty's job is not composing as much as it is the rest of the sound in a game.

Also, after looking at his career and awards I bet getting him to work on a project for over a year would be expensive. Like crazy expensive.

Hmm, what?
Anyway, Hans Zimmer is a fantastic composer (MW2 soundtrack and Inception being prime examples), but I feel it would be 'too different' for a new Halo title.

Too late,343 has it's music composer a long time.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Hanz Zimmer and the person who composed Halo Wars are definitley good. But, I don't think it can top Marty's music. Maybe it will, but to be on the safe side, I'd rather just have Marty continue to do the music.

Right they've got the guy from Metal Gear?

Please no. No offense to Hans' talent, but not only does he work with more orchestral pieces, but I don't like his work at all. It lacks subtlety among other things. Too bombastic and epic for my tastes. Halo should use orchestras only minimally, if not at all. I didn't like how Bungie turned Halo 3 into an epic space opera. The setting could've easily worked with more intimate pieces.
