Sup guys?

If you can't guess who I am, then you need help, lol

Welcome to The Maw, Chief Funk.

  • 02.08.2006 2:17 PM PDT

Oh thanks, but I have been here before, just thought I would post in this topic, I laughed so hard when I saw my name actually in this topic, I am so known, lmao

EDIT: Um, about that DA stuff, I didn't fake to be Carnifx, I only faked to be Nick, thats it, but there is someone faking Carnifx I have run into them a couple of times now. Just thought I would get that out.

Hi funk. So it wasn't you that told me that I suck **** and I ****. That must have been another funk....

What's the true purpose of impersonation? Like it achieves nothing. I don't see the merit of impseronationg =PAT= members and [DA] members and (ME)=King and Swifto.

Like I saw three of me yesterday!

The only purpose that I see in it is to make the guy you are impersonating impopular.

Example: someone who doesn't like me can go in a game with my name, start tk'ing and talking trash to make me look bad in the eyes of the other players.

Yes why I am flattered that someone likes to copy me I find it pretty pathetic that some (insert insulting name here) actually tales the time and effort . I mean seriously this high school BS in a video game are you ****ing kidding me.

Hm...I wouldn't do that again. It pisses people off. I won't say anything about it, but other people probably won't take it as lightly as I do.

Node does have a point, I have indeed seen Chief Funk trashtalk and ruin the game, but we can't do much I'm afraid. But I do believe that this is begining to get out of hand. We should all just continue to play Halo. You know, this is what encourages teamkillers like (ME)=KING and (ME)=SWIFTO to keep doing the things they're doing. I still simply believ that they are not worth the attention wer'e giving them. I agree that this is a pressing matter, but debate like this will not do much, I believe that nodes petition and our combined strengh to stand up to these TKing guys will greatly strike a blow to thy're worthless cause. (Standing up as in not retaliating, but more like "we don't care about TKers, they can't ruin our game." That I think is the best way we can stop people from TKing as much, because they are the fire, and we are the oxygen keeping that fire alive. We put out the oxygen, the fire dies. Than simple.

Cheers :)

EDIT: Sorry for the essay lol.

First off, I don't need medication. Second, I only trash talk if, others start it first or, if I am trash talking to someone and then someone else jumps in, thats it. Third, I only team kill, because, I have played Halo for PC for over 2 years now, it is kinda geting boring to do the same stuff over and over, team killing brightens it up, so to speak, I don't do it professially, like King, I only do it so offen, and only for like 10 to 15 min, but I am sorry if it bothers you all, I will try to cut off doing it, it is just when someone team kills me or trash talks to me, it gets me started, but I will stop. Fourth, I am a nice guy, ask Nick, I talked to him on Xfire tonight, and even before that I was ok, it justs if you piss me off, I get going, and I am sure that hapens to the best of us.

Now as for team killers, heres my input, since I do, do it. We team kill for 4 reasons, 1st one and this is the most important one, we do it for a reactions, weither that be talking trash about us and to us, team killing us back, or posting in forums about us, so all you guys are doing is giving them what they want, just get over them and don't give them the attention they want. 2nd reason, kinda goes into the 1st, we do it to disturb game play, if we team kill you, and then you keep team killing us back, we win, like I said just get over it, and move on. 3rd reason, it is fun, you can't tell me that blowing someone up with a rocket right before they score, and then stealing the score ain't funny. 4th and last, same as first, we want attention, thats it. So I hope my input will help you all, understand why team killers, do what they do.

Sorry about the long post, but it all had to be said.

EDIT: Oh and node, I hope that there aren't any hard feelings between us, if so, then I am sorry for my part, I hope we can be mature and move on, again sorry.

Why should it be stickied?

People will continue to make threads like this as long as there is a problem. A sticky doesn't solve the problem, ergo, a sticky will not have the desired effect of keeping people from making more threads like this.

We sticky this, it saves people the need to start threads similar to this, we can clean up the clutter in the Maw. Which in turn will make Bungie webadmin happy :) So do try to keep the TKing discussion here. It would help everyone alot ;)

No, widowmaker. I just presented an arguement as to why stickying this thread won't accomplish what you want it to, and you completely ignored it. Just like others will ignore this thread - even if it is stickied and post another one just like it.

Bungie admins and mods aren't really bothered by our clutter.

I think you're taking this a bit too seriously. Your proclaiment to pschological stress is not typical of any means of recreation. We can only conclude that you have underlying or unresolved psychological issues that have led to your increased stress.
It is possible that your home life or other such personal business is intruding into your recreational time.
Time spent engaging in multiplayer, like any other recreational activity, should be a time when you engage with your more relaxed side.
Remember that if you are feeling upset or disturbed in some way while playing, you should always remind yourself that its 'just a game'. When you walk away from your computer you should just forget about anything that has happened.
That is how games are used.

Hope I could be of help

Thank's Funk for the inside information. I think if people can get over the fact that you have tk'd, but are willing to take a different route, your presence will be welcomed. At least you have the ball's to come here and admit it. To me that's worth something.

I think Funk's right when he say's tk'ers are just looking for a reaction. Makes sense. It is part of human nature to stir up -blam!- and sit back and watch people run around like scared, angry sheep. Watch some old bootleg's of Jim Morrison on stage, drunk off of his favorite cacti and you will know what I mean.

As for Node...I can't help but respect the guy. Many people have been pushed to the brink, but only explode on a certain scene. Sometime's multiple scene's. So from my standpoint, I understand his action's. I think it just frustrate's the good people, that we can't do much to help the situation.

Peace.

aM Inspire, since we respect you here in the Maw, I have no intention to argue your counterpoint. I am just saying what I think is best here in the forum. Funk, I have no beef with you anymore. Lol. I am looking for good relations with everyone here, and I advise that everyone do the same.

Really? You stabbed someone? That's pretty good to stop bullies, but for a m1dget like me, that's not the best tactic lol. I just shrug it off.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Personally, I can't wait to see ME=KING on Vista!

ok..a joke. See you guys soon, I haven't played Halo for weeks!

Well, it just goes to show: even fairly nice guys can turn into homicidal teamkillers via computer games. Jack Thompson was right!!!!!

/sarcasm

Hey, Funk, thanks for the insight!

[bump]

Funk! I saw you on yesterday. And I quote "I only talk s--- if you start it first!"

Well I didnt start s---. You called me a ni---- just for killing you in Wizard. I was just playing the game! Explain yourself.

On another note, it is almost certain that (ME)=KING and (ME)=SWIFTO will bring their blight for Halo 2 for PC. I suggest that Bungie put a permaban system on (ME)=KING and his goons. Let's start off a new clean slate here you guys, H2PC will be a very great game if we put a muzzle on these serial TKers.

K121 Widowmaker, sorry about that man, these guys were seriously pissing me off yesturday, lollerclops, and Lycan_ you just got caught in the cross fire, again sorry.

Now as for Halo 2 for PC, I think team killing may not be a problem, you see on Halo 2 for the Xbox when you play Live, if you team kill someone, it gives you the option to boot them from the game, plus once the game starts up, you can't change teams, and also once a game is started, if you leave you can't comeback, so if Bungie, keeps all of these things in there, then once someone betrays you, if not by mistake, you can boot them from the game, and they can't comeback, but regardless, they don't need to keep all 3 of the things I said, but at least the boot thing, I mean who would join a game team kill once, get booted, and then come back and do it, again and again, but it would be nice to keep all 3 since it would also stop team changing whores, who change to a better, and bigger team, the only one I can kinda see them not keep is the, once a game starts you can't join it, but hey I can live with that, as long as the others are there, or at least the boot thing. Also, this is just for the Matchmaking on Live, custom games, are different, I mean they still have the boot thing, but the other 2 are gone, unless when you setup the game, but like I said all I care about is the boot thing.
