If you ever get any weird PMs from me, just ignore it.

I once heard an old man say " Years ago, i sold my trumpet for something to eat, and know i know it would be better to die of hunger."

I upload a ton of Halo clips on my YouTube channel, feel free to subscribe.

Maybe some kind of budget.
Or...

BUNGIE R LAIZEEE!

Living under a bridge all of your life has it's consequences.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Budget most probably, same reason they have 'Gooses too.

Just because we didn't see any, doesn't mean that they were there.

It would be tactically better to have the LAAGs up front to disperse Banshees, which can put damage on the Armor.

They're probably more expensive and difficult to maintain than the LAAG versions so are far less common.

they had rocket hogs on Reach too. Did you see any of them? I can't remember...

It's easier for animators to just use one model of something in cutscenes. Like for instance in Halo 3 all three of the UNSC frigates that you see are the Forward Unto Dawn, and likewise all the Longswords shown in Halo 3 are exactly the same too. They probably just used the machine type of 'Hog because it was easier, and more efficient, to just reuse the same model.

Also, I didn't really get a good look at any of the turrets on the 'Hogs, and it was rather zoomed out when it wasn't focused on Six's 'Hog, and I've always found it semi-challening to tell Gauss 'Hogs and machine gun 'Hogs apart from a distance. So their could have easily been a couple Gauss 'Hogs thrown in there too. And this also wasn't the only warfront to the battle, the Gauss 'Hogs could also be deployed to where they would be more useful.
