Ok so i installed Halo onto my laptop and fixed my graphic problem i was having but the game still plays choppy, like playing with lag offline. Yet i can play Unreal Tournament 2004 without a problem. Maybe some one can fill me in on what is going on.

Choppy? As in, it's lagging or not? Choppy frames ARE lag.

Perhaps you need more RAM to run halo? Try installing additional RAM, or just clearing off any unecessary programs through the Taskbar or System Tray.

I also suggest running Halo at lower specs, taking away some of the features. It's things like excessive blood, multiple objects to render, etc. that add on to the lag.

Again, we need some computer specifications. Make? Processor Name and Speed? HD capacity? RAM? Graphics Card?

Puppet, either help or dont. But anyways, yeah dude, we need some specs on your rig. Include processor, RAM, manufacturer, graphics card, and (if possible) your motherboard. Also make sure that you have the newest drivers, newest DirectX, and try turning your settings down and see what happens. If you are using a Nvidia card then I also have another way to try and solve the problem.

Acer Aspire 3000
Mobile AMD Sempron Processor 3000+
512 MB RAM
60 GB Hard Drive
Dont know Video cards, just says 64 MB Video Memory
For the Motherboard it just says, Lugano M

And dont worry about Puppet, he didnt even know what Unreal Tournament was and didnt know what FPS meant. LOL

well, all I can say is that you should update all your graphics drivers, run windows update, and make sure that you have the newest version of DirectX. hope it helps

also make sure you arent running any p2p (*GASP!!!*) or active virus/spyware scans in the background or these might lag your computer. check your task manager and make sure no processes are using more than a few percent off and on of your cpu. if anything says a solid 10% plus then you should think about stopping that program before playing, as it will surely affect performance.
