Post war there could indeed be a spartan IV project.

You still have rebels and covenant remnants, they could also be assigned to capture covenant and forerunner technologies.

I dont really think the UNSC would be worrying about rebels at the end of the war... If there were any left to begin with.

I think it'd be more like

UNSC : Rebels survived? Oh well, we gotta rebuild Earth and see if any inner colonies survived. We'll deal with them after that.

rebels: YAY, now we are being left alone by everybody!

Extremist rebels: The UNSC is weak! Nows the time to attack!"

Those are the guys you need to watch for.

Exactly.

I wouldint be surprised if the UNSC after the war would have a two front fight. One helping out the Elite's eliminate what ever is left of the Brutes, and the other being a possible fight to recover those colonies who have become independant from the UNSC in the aftermath of the war. I can see another Rebellion esque type fight forming again, but this time, being more open warfare than just simple bombings and sabotage.

Who knows, maybe the Elite's will help the UNSC recover these colonies if their relationship dosent fall apart after the war.

The rebels wouldn't stand a chance if the UNSC managed to reverse engineer Forerunner technology, much less craft Spartan-IVs.

I highly doubt a Spartan IV project would be done untill probably 20 or so years after the war.

The UNSC needs to rebuild and rearm, another Spartan project is just something they cant allow to afford. And reverse engineering Forerunner tech... possible, but as the SIV project, it wouldint take place anytime soon. Not atleast heavy upgrades for the armed forces.

The UNSC needs resources, and they need to retake colonies. I'm positive not all colonies will like to go back to the old ways and will offer resistance.

If Cole is still alive, he may prove to be a mediator in such a reunification though.

If he can be found to begin with.

My OT take on Spartan IV's? I'd just do what was suggested before, find the best of humanity. Give them Spartan III Augumentations, some how increase effectiveness of Training with no B.S. Torture or Plasma burn parts and bing bang boom. Spartan IV...I think...I'm still working on the idea.

Knowing 343's taste, it's highly probable.

I'd like the next game to allow me to fight along other spartan's(eg. not just noble team) and introduce new characters throughout - plot to deepenand make a kick-ass sequel.

chief could always link up with the UNSC Spirit of Fire and fight alongside with the ORIGINAL Leader and members of red team.

Don't know why it calls me rubuilt gymnast 7, it's really UNSC595 in case you were wondering and I have played all of those games online

Maybe but the more likely option would to create a 2nd class of SPARTAN-II's to combat the coming insurrections.

I can see the next-gen of "Spartans" being more akin to a Human-Sangheli joint task force that goes with scientific expeditions to Forerunner relics in case of dormant Flood samples being present. Someone should totally fanfic that. I'll do it :)

Aside from that, there would be an undoubtedly large amount of civil unrest in the coming decades on both sides, and new Spartans would probably be used for their original purpose: performing delicate operations to quietly erase rebellions and keep the peace from behind the scenes.

Shameless bump.

Spartan IVs are most likely better versions of Spartan IIs.

The UNSC already tried out out cheaper versions of Spartans. It's time for them to move on to something better.

Why would the UNSC need Spartan IVs?

Well, seeing as the UNSC is wrecked, it might be a good idea to develop a top notch fighting force to deal with future threats. I mean, there are still Covenant remnants that pose a threat. The Flood never seems to disappear. There could be other greater threats in the universe that are not known.

"The measure of a man is what he does with power"-Plato

Spartan 4s would be a waste of money.

With no war to fight now everything will be focused on rebuilding what had been lost.

First, it's a Micro Dyson Sphere, not dilison.

Second, all of Gamma except Top Honors candidates were not on Onyx.

Currently in the Dyson Sphere: Kelly, Linda, Halsey, MCPO Mendez, Fred, Tom, Lucy, Ash, and I believe two or three other SIII's.
