Time was short, and her main goal was to kill Johnson and then herself to prevent Truth from using one of them to fire the Halos. It would make more sense to go alone, because more humans means a higher chance of the Halos being activated.
No it wasn't when she had to think about what Johnson told her to do. If it was her plan she would've done it from the get go.
The big question is (assuming she went straight to Truth) why her Co-pilot was not present with her. If time was so short, then she wouldn't have had time to drop him/her off. Not only that, if she dropped off his/her co-pilot, it is incredibly stupid writing wise that she didn't just bother to pick up Chief and the Arbiter (whilst dropping off the co-pilot) and bust in with those two rather than have them wait for the elevator.
Now, obviously for reasons of cinematic drama it should only be her, but logic wise the absence of a co-pilot is unexplainable and illogical. Heck, just the fact that the Chief and the Arbiter had to wait for the bridge and elevator in the first place was rendered absolutely stupid and pointless when it turned out you can just smash a pelican in there from the get go.
I'm not trying to shoot down your plane or anything, but honestly would the co-pilot really would have made a difference anyway?
For the sake of consistency yes. While it does not affect the story one bit, it is still an irksome thing for me whenever things magically disappear as a direct result of pacing or poor editing. For example in movies when things are in some shots, then magically disappear or rearranged in the following shot.
