Wasn't it supposed to give us more friend-space and other things on LIVE? I've yet to see that happen..

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

I personally believe that it was because MS did not want to have to pay to run the XBO servers. Plus, it was a marketing scheme to get the older players to update. Microsoft sucks.

Original Xbox Live was dead. Most games were empty, and not enough people who were paying were playing Xbox 1 games.

Not at all.. Hoping that was sarcasm?

What you see with me is what you get. I would rather be hated for what I am than loved for something that I'm not.

I am who I am, not who you want me to be. Your approval isn't needed and your opinion isn't required or desired.

This is why.

Croyt.. This is what made Halo 2 great. That man is a legend.

I love Halo and video games. I started a business called "70MGame", I setup LAN events, tournaments, and Midnight Launch Events. Check us out in the link below.

I grew up playing Halo CE and have never stopped loving it since. I have one of the biggest Halo collections you will ever see with the crown jewels being life size statues of Master Chief, Kat, and Emile. Im hoping to have the entire Noble Team soon as well as other Halo statues

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

Servers were shut down to allow major upgrades to happen to the 360 live network. Since then nothing major has happened, live is still the same. You still have modders, etc, running around. In the end we all got screwed, we lost something precious and we didn't gain anything as a result except anger issues. They could have at least let the old dlc marketplace still run, so that we could download the dlc's that we paid for in the past.

One has already happened. The voice codec has been updated.

Maintaining the original XBL was hindering Microsoft from makin' major updates to the 360 XBL.

To save money. That's the only reason.

That's what they told us, but it's not true. They haven't made a single update that would have been hindered in any way by the orignal XBL. Chances are pretty good that we won't see any updates that would have required the closing of original Xbox servers.
