Subject: Why do you have to be like IW, Bungie?

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I don't understand. I thought Bungie really cared for there games and community. But, they're acting like Infinity Ward. They've completely abandoned Halo 3. I prefer Halo 3 over Reach and play it a lot more. But, everything seems dead now. Bungie does nothing with it. Bungie Favorites have been the same for months upon months. I'm tired of seeing "Calamity" as the number one. Not changed a bit. It goes to show it hasn't been changed in a looong time, too, because I know the screenshot name "Calamity" off the top of my head and I'm a forgetful person.

On top of that, there are no more Double EXP weekends. Everything stays the same with: Ranked, Social, and 7th on the 7th. It's like they just don't care anymore. Just like how IW abandoned MW2, but of course not as bad. But, still. C'mon Bungie. Give Halo 3 some love and especially give some love to your loyal fans who still play it after three years.

I have played on every button layout for Halo 3 in matchmaking.
It changes with my mood.

I guess that's not the case anymore with most gaming companies these days. Bungie became one of them.

yet it has more players than Reach, despite it's sequel already being released, resulting in a split fan-base.

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

Bungie stopped caring once Reach came out.

I >:( Bungie

  • 03.29.2011 10:32 PM PDT

IW don't have another CoD out on the market, Treyarch do..

Bungie actually have another Halo out on the market.

But they should still update H3 once in a while.

Call of Duty will always have more players than Halo, it's the most noob-friendly game on the current-gen consoles. Anyone can pick up a controller and get kills, whether they run out in the open or camp. it's easy to be good, or at least decent, at COD, whereas Halo requires a bit more practice.

My Youtube - Halo 2 Online Co-op
BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Bungie learns from Microsoft.

Microsoft has a support lifecycle for their products, Bungie has obviously learned from this, and are knowledgeable when it comes to abandoning software products.

I'm sure other companies pick up on this, and therefore do not care about their product after it has been milked for a lot of money.

its a sad thing realy-anyone remember halo 2 when it was supposed to be switched off? think about all the support it got. now look at halo 3. its a shameit doesnt get the same attention.
come on bungie we might just sound like a bunch of whiny nostalgic halo vets but you realy used to give older games love and attention, why has that changed?

I wanna know why that's changed. I don't want Halo 3 to become like Halo 2. In a matter of time: "Come play Halo 3 for the last hoorah before we shut off the servers!" -.-

Bungie has tricked me. I thought they cared. When people talked about other game companies flaws and not caring about their fans, I'd always say, "Bungie does." Now...I don't say that anymore. Once Reach, the worst Halo; an abomination, came out they were just like every other money-whore company out there. It's sad.

I guess we nostalgic halo vets get no love.

Be fair to Bungie. They have got a lot of people updating Reach AND working on their next project.

Put yourself in their shoes; You have a million and one fans, all playing a videogame you have crafted from scratch, with an excellent back catalogue of games AND a completely new project (most likely with a brand new game engine to code) in the works. They can't spare the manpower or time, or money to update old games. Yes, they could prune the playlist a little, but if they did update H3, don't expect anything major.

They can, but won't. I'm hoping 343i does something, but that's not likely.

  • 03.31.2011 1:43 PM PDT

Yo wazup, HALO longtime fan, LEGENDARY player, cant wait to see the bright future 343i will bring to the halo franchise :)

I agree, After bungie finished reach and put it out on the market they left Halo and moved on to make stuff with Activision, Now 343 has to watch over the franchise. Bungie isn't as cool as they were a year back. 343 is made up of dedicated die-hard Halo fans. And I think that they will do a great job of keeping the community happy, in REACH. H3 on the other hand isn't cared for anymore. It's online isn't even cared for by bungie anymore, good thing the online servers are still working perfectly.

Yeah, I think it's better that 343i has taken the reigns. But, that's only for Reach. And I stopped playing Reach. Halo 3 just isn't cared for by anybody. Which, is why I'm pretty disappointed and a bit angry. I realize that Bungie has a new project, but they left Reach for 343i, so why not give a little love to Halo 3? But, I know nothing is going to change that. I have no hope in Bungie anymore. To me, they used to be a great company who cared about their fans. Now...money-whores.

Add this account Halo3CustomsTag If you like to play Halo 3, Everyone who adds this account will be on a list of Custom games players, For example. Say you would like to host a Fat Kid game or Ice cream man , or duck hunt , Ect. You would view the friends list and invite everyone online, Then you have an awesome game with some of the remaining 4000 Halo 3 Players left. Long live the best halo.

Please don't hype for games...
They'll just fall short of your expectations and you'll complain for months.

They have to figure out how to use the PS3 system.

Why should Bungie care for Halo 3? They're focusing on Reach and their new project.

My advice, start a petition in the Waypoint Forums to get 343 to continue support to Halo 3.

  • 04.03.2011 2:21 PM PDT

It makes me cry a little every night, I can safely say that maybe making a double exp playlist pop up in the list will take 5 - 10 minutes at the most, and updating some of the playlists with other stuff that the community wants wouldn't take long either, it's not like they are gonna loose 1 million dollars if a employee would take 30 minutes to update the playlists in some way, I have always said to myself that when I become a game developer I am going to put myself out there to listen to what the community wants and try and listen best I can within reason, and asking to update a playlist to a game that you developed is something that I personally would not shrug off so lightly.

Bungie favorites has been like that for just about a year now, actually.
