Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Unimpressive, to say the least.

it will be done in gameplay. atm all the bsp's, weapons, etc are being made. We haven't even started the first level yet lol.

You'll have to forgive our scepticism. We've seen a good number of projects that release trailers without being backed by any real work; they rarely come to fruition.

You're trying to make an entire campaign and possibly multiplayer maps based on a game that doesn't exist yet and to top it off, you think it's going be finished within the next 8 months. You've committed yourself to something larger than even the most organised and experienced teams likely could handle.

As a side note, have you written a script for this? Planned every detail of every level? That's all stuff that should be done before a trailer is made.

Yes a Halo 4. We are doing the basic weapon models. And no, unless ur trolling, h4 isn't outdated. We are the first mapping team to actually start a project for a new halo game. We will have a custom UI, campaign and custom DEFAULT maps like bloodgulch, rat race etc.

Mission 1 - Solace: You land on the Sangheili's home planet, 5 years after the activation of halo. Unknowingly, your distress beacon attracts the attention of a rogue brute and grunt colony who follow the beacon. You are rescued from the wreckage of your crashed vessel by the Arbiter and his child. youare then taken to the Sangheili's fortress block Vadamus where you are debriefed. Once you are debriefed, you decide to stroll around the city. You look over toward the wreckage where you crash landed, and immediately learned you forgot about Cortana. As you turn to leave there is an intense heated sensation on your back. you turn around and horror engulfs you. You find that a plasma torpedo hit and completely decimated the wreckage. As the master chief you are taken through a quick run to a weapons cache of Elite modified weapons, where you pick out the Plasma Striker and an elite plasma rifle. You then consul with the arbiter, who sends troops with you into the battle. After fighting off the fleet, they flee to another world. Chief asks the arbiter to come with him for one final fight. The Arbiter turns to his wife and gives her full control to leadership of the planet. Leaving with the Master Chief, onboard the Shadow of Intent with the Gun - Targa fleet close behind, you pick up a sub-space hole and you trace it back to the planet Gyrysuis (Gear-ee-sue-is). You follow with the ships in your command and make an attack.

I read through that thread and I have to echo the sentiments of some of the other posters.

While it's great that you're showing an interest in Halo and the world of 3D modeling, I still maintain that you've bitten off more than you, or anybody else in this community, can chew.

After looking over the posted pictures (including the weapons), I implore you to start off with some tutorials on 3DS Max and work your way up.

Even if you were a 3D modeling deity, I'd still be giving you the same advice. Aside from the lack of modeling experience, your group (I checked the forums out) seems to lack any kind of structure. There doesn't appear to be any kind of grand plan but rather a chaotic free-for-all where everybody is doing their own thing in the hope that they'll be able to salvage a playable level from the random odds and ends. There are even a number of other projects going on at the same time.

Anyway, my point is that a project like this requires strong leadership, communication and planning skills. Technical skills are only part of the battle. With a project like this, I'd expect you to have a pretty beefy documentation folder detailing everything that's going to be needed; in-depth level design, concept art, plot, goals - you get the picture. All I've seen is 4 or 5 lines on the first mission.

I encourage you to keep going and improving your skills but please do yourself a favour and set more realistic, attainable goals. As it stands, you're taking the hard road to disappointment.
