Part 1
The next Mission would be ODST Team Lima dropping from a UNSC Frigate, UNSC Well Enough Alone, with the objective to assault and destroy a covenant base. You land on a large, open, desert-like battlefield (similar to Tip of the Spear only more barren and less canyons) you clear a landing zone and two albatrosses drop a bunch of vehicles from a carrier in orbit. You get two scorpions, a gauss warthog, and a Troop transport-warthog to choose from as well as enough Marines to fill all of the empty seats. From there you form a convoy through a mountain pass destroying enemy vehicles. You reach the covenant base, drive in to a large hangar full of inactive covenant vehicles. The vehicle bay door closes and you proceed through the covenant base to the plasma reactor. There is a cutscene showing the charges being placed. When the cutscene ends you have to activate the charges and get out of the base in 2 minutes. The covenant base is destroyed then theres a cutscene showing you evacuate to a UNSC firebase. Mission End.
Next would be first platoon of the 93rd ODST Division aboard the UNSC supercarrier, UNSC Trafalgar. repelling covenant boarders in various parts of the ship.. There is an entire mission of repelling boarders, ending on the bridge. then there is a cutscene showing the ODSTs talking to the ships commander (a fleet admiral). The squad is ordered to drop onto a CCS-battlecruiser to attempt to capture it. The ONI intel on the ship showed the personnel as a bunch of engineers and a couple grunts, drones and jackals with one or two elites. First the ODSTs drop onto the exterior of the ship. As they are making their way towards an access port, a shortsword gets shot down and kills an ODST. When the ODSTs enter the ship they instead find an army of elites supported by Hunters and some engineers and grunts. Throughout the mission various squad members die (no cutscene or anything just they do something like open a door and a grunt sticks them with a grenade or something like that similar to when the cryotech dies in Halo: Combat Evolved) Once the squad gets to the bridge there is only the player and the squad leader left, there is a cutscene. While the players character is examining the controls, the squad leader is watching for covenant reinforcements and gets stabbed by an elite with active camo and an energy sword. The last ODST turns around just in time to dodge the energy sword and ends up falling off the raised bridge platform. He recovers and kills the elite, then makes contact with the fleet admiral and the mission is aborted. The lone ODST makes his way to the hangar bay and steals a space banshee and flies back to the UNSC carrier.
(Back to the 16th Tactical) Remaining member from the First platoon is reintroduced as the replacement for the dead 16th Tactical member (you play as the 16th Tactical Main Character). The mission is about rescuing and evacuating various groups of civilians from New Alexandria in a falcon. (daytime-not like New Alexandria mission in Reach- More transport and air support based)
The next mission consists of the 16th Tactical landing at the New Alexandria civilian shuttle launch port (like from Reach at the end of the level Exodus. The opening cutscene shows the transport getting shot down from the falcon - you play as the First platoon member) Its like a firefight for about 5 minutes then there is a cutscene where the shuttles take off and there is comm stuff about noble six activating the missile batteries and saving the shuttles etc. You then proceed out of the building to the city streets. There is a gauss warthog and a scorpion. With the vehicles you then proceed to a rally point in the city. The cutscene ends with them meeting a bunch of other marines and ODSTs
(Back to Team Lima.) The squad has been deployed on a reconnaissance op in New Alexandria (night) wielding SRS99D-S2 AM SDs. You assault a couple of trashed buildings then take a position in a partially destroyed skyscraper (broken windows and debris) and shoot at a covenant camp off in the distance to reduce the reinforcements the rally point assailants have. Cutscene Showing a CCS-battlecruiser entering the area launching numerous phantoms and spirits. Some of them come towards the building. orders are given to the squad to evacuate.
At the start of the next mission you have to fight your way to the roof of the building you were in at the end of the last mission where you get to control the turret on a gauss falcon providing air support for the rally point. They radio all clear so you land at the rally point and help defend it for a very small amount of time but the falcon leaves and when you are done defending the rally point a new sniper falcon comes and you provide sniper support against jackal snipers in various buildings all around new alexandria. There is then a cutscene where the falcon gets shot down and crashes into the side of a building that was being used as a UNSC field medical station. The cutscene continues in first person, the players character looking around at the other ODSTs (some dead others wounded) theres some debriefing on the last mission and the battlecruiser is mentioned. Then theres a loud rumbling noise, and a big red flash of light (covenant glassing the area like in Reach except no one survives). Also at some points in the cutscene it would show the glassing from the 16th Tactical's point of view. - they start seeing the covenant charge the projector beam when they are at the rally point (all of the other UNSC forces are either dead or have already evacuated). so a pelican comes to pick them up and then when the glassing is in progress they see it from the pelican.
It then shows the pelican dropping the 16th Tactical into a UNSC Marathon-Class Cruiser in orbit. Shortly thereafter you find out that an abandoned UNSC Frigate (in a shipyard - like boneyard only the ship is mostly intact and isnt buried) has had a problem with erasing its navigation core and weapons data. The ODSTs make one final jump to secure the core and data (playing as the first platoon character). By the time they're done erasing the navigation and weapons data theres only one UNSC destroyer (and 2 frigates that are in the process of leaving) left in system (Destroyer = UNSC Eclipse- the rest have retreated to Earth) The ODSTs take a couple falcons (one transport and one normal) to a shipyard with an orbital tether (Like the Mombasa Space Elevator). Mission ends.
The ODSTs land outside a warehouse near the tether and the player (equipped with a SMG and whatever their weapon of choice from the first mission was.) and the rest of the ODSTs fight their way to the space elevator. When the ODSTs arrive at the tether one gets severely wounded (unconscious) from a blow from a brute with a gravity hammer. (cutscene) After the ODSTs clear the elevator, a squad of marines comes out from hiding in one of the warehouses and they all activate the elevator and ascend. Meanwhile they are under assault of wave after wave of phantoms landing troops onto the elevator platform while it is moving upwards. Also there would be a cinematic of the 2 UNSC frigates doing a flyby of the elevator on their way out of system. One does the flyby- shaking the elevator but the other gets gutted by a covenant carrier drifts by the elevator (still exploding as it drifts). At the top of the elevator is a UNSC sub-orbit docking facility with a hangar that contains a pelican and two sabres. Mission end
The final mission is a space flight mission(like Long Night of Solace) with all 7 remaining ODSTs and 4 Marines in ships. (2 in each sabre and 7 in Pelican) The player (from the16th Tactical Character's POV) is flying a sabre protecting the Pelican. They all dock with the Eclipse. They are then informed that they have to wait for the slipspace capacitors to charge. also if theyre going to make the jump then the ODSTs have to defend the ship They proceed to undock again in the two sabres. They fight off waves of covenant seraphs and phantoms and banshees and in the background there is a bunch of covenant capital ships closing in on the Eclipse. The ODSTs dock with the Eclipse again. The ODSTs head for the bridge and when they get there the weapons and navigations officers get killed by pieces of falling debris the captain of the ship orders the First platoon squad member to take control of the Weapons system (MAC cannon and the archer missiles) and the 16th Tactical squad member to take control of navigation (driving). The player would actually get to control both weapons and drive the ship at the same time. The MAC cannon would fire like the Mass Driver from Reach only it could actually do damage to the covenant ship's shields but would take 15 seconds to recharge. After you destroy 3 cruisers, there is a cutscene showing the ship making a slipspace jump. After that it shows the covenant capital ships above the glassed planet of Reach. (for EPICNESS)
