Alright, I feel like a bit like a noob for not knowing this, but, I've been watching videos of Halo PC for a very long time, well, since I got it way back when. I've noticed that some of those videos have the old "(Player) was killed by (Player)" HUD messages from the Xbox version. Is this what's on the Mac version? Was this on one of the old versions of Halo PC and I've just forgotten? It's been bothering me recently that I don't know this.

I went hunting for a high res video of a Mac player playing. I gave up after finding this. What's up with the Grunts?

I don't know if this is hi res enough but I know for certain it is being played on the Mac.

I don't see any anti aliasing on either of those videos. Is there a source for the claim that Mac Halo has AA?

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I don't have a mac powerful enough to test it on to see if it has AA. As for everything being at the top, it's annoying. It reminds me of h2v somewhat.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Dear God that would be annoying.

The video I linked might have AA on. Hard to tell at that quality though. The second video certainly doesn't though.

It says in the description it has AA 2x.

It's not worth $100 for anti aliasing, however.

Lol fanboy.

No, I'm speaking objectively. I wouldn't be able to stand having messages about me picking up weapons, ammo, ect in the same area as people talking. I like stuff organized.

I like them in different areas. At least Failo 2 Vista has seperate boxes for text and HUD.

Didn't sawnose say there was a way to activate AA for PC users? It involved changing a line of code from false to true. It was turned off by default because Bungie couldn't test all the graphics cards that are released for PC's.

Nah, that's AF.

You don't need to change anything to get AF working. It has worked from day 1 on all my video cards when you force it from your graphics control panel. That post by Sawnose confused me.

As for AA, I swear it worked way back when. You used to get a little message that said, "Halo does not support anti-aliasing, click to continue anyway." It used to turn my game into a slideshow with a Radeon 9800pro in 2004. Eventually that message never came up, and there was no AA. I could be wrong though. It may never have worked, it was a long time ago.

Uh...whats the point of using AA if you run the game windowed?
Also, I have never seen an odd number of samples used for AA. What is your hardware?

9600M GT, I saw the same numbers back on my FX5200 WAAAAAAAAAY back. I run it in windowed so that I can easily tab out of the game. The game thinks it is windowed, but it is also forcing my native screen resolution so I get this meta-windowed state which is easier to tab out of and back into.
