Face your fear, then consume it to give yourself strength.

We've just hit the tip of the iceberg with Halo. There's a rich backstory to be explained with the Forerunners, 25 years of war that we only know so much about, and we've barely scratched the surface of the backstories of the Covenant and the UNSC.

So, in short, no, I don't think they'll run out of ideas anytime soon.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Halo has so much story to be told it´s not even funny.

We are just getting started.

there is a ridiculous amount of stories they could make. they could
-do more about the forerunners
-do stories of the thousands of yrs the covenant has been around.
-stories on the UNSC before even the insurrectionist so basically the 22nd century to about the 2490s.
-insurrectionist time period.
-25 yrs of human covy war.
-MC
-any time after the human covy war.

they could be doing this for decades if they wanted to.

With that said, i think we can assume that the franchise will stay strong, but it will take awhile to even finish halo. The game may find an alternative end, because it will go on for awhile, but they may not I just cannot tell. I don't think anyone can. The war is over, but there is much to uncover. I am clueless as to what 343 has planned for the future.

"Like water I ebb and flow. Deafeat is simply an addition of time, a sentence to a fate I never deserved."

The Halo story isn't done yet. The Gravemind still exists, humanity has to take up the Mantle and complete its destined task, we don't know what the Great Journey is, we've yet to understand Medicant Bias' mission for the Chief, the Legendary Planet, some of the things hinted at towards the end of Origins II and the Iris Campaign, and how the Assembly and Precursors fit into all of this.

Seriously, Halo's story is one of truly unparalleled brilliance, rivaled only by the likes of LOST. Its so epic and mysterious, who knows what lies uin wait.

Maybe if you read enough books you will learn about punctuation and how it makes text easier for a reader to comprehend? Maybe not, I don't know.

Anyway, Cryptum is one of three Forerunner books. Karen Traviss is writing a trilogy of sequels to Ghost of Onyx, and Halo 4 is not far off. The Halo series will continue through many forms of media. I'm sorry if I didn't answer your question but I couldn't bare to read your OP.

No new games, catching up with the world, and filling it with the name of SpazDragon, the dragon with a spas-12.

Off topic: I just gave our school librarian to get a list of Halo books the other students would be dying for...

On topic: Halo is one shrouded by mystery. Even the things we know now can't be official because even the smallest details are left out. Others are big gaping holes: 2011-2030+ and the human-Sangheili Alliance, let alone what powers Needler crystals, etc.

Yeh. There's ALOT to be written and explained.
