Nope, it has neither tentacles nor is large enough. It has four arms and two legs.... and looks like a huge -blam- ing cockroach with a barbed tail. Sorry to say but I don't think it is Inferi Sententia (Gravemind)

" Grey then thinks of what the infected prisoner would look like after being given to the flood, an image of the gravemind then pops into his head"

Indeed. When I read what the description of the prisoner was I was thinking gravemind, then "WTF the precursors are the flood?" But yeah, regardless, the description of the precursor bears a striking resemblance to the gravemind. Although, "I am a monument to all your sins" would make less sense as the flood was an act of vengeance on the forerunners, not the humans.

Error 404:
-Error not found.

That seems likely. The next game, I'll bet they say that it was a forerunner planet, because when the portal closed, I guess it has a fail-proof system that saved the person by throwing them near a forerunner planet.

Actually Mecadent Bias (sp)? was in the process of rerouting the portal destination when it collapsed, its why the front half ended up back on earth, and the back half ended up in...well, wherever it is.
