HI All,I have seen few instances where the following issue occurs:While launching Halo the following error occurs: "A problem occurred initializing Direct3D. Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG." This occurs only after installing SP2. No issues if I System Restore it before SP2. Occurs with Radeon 9600 256 MB video cards.Troubleshooting done:1.Updated the game2.Applied the Strings.DLL file3.Installed VIA driver4.Reinstalled DirectX 9.0c5.Clean reinstallation of the game6.Increase Video Hardware Acceleration7. Use Safe Mode8. Reduce Screen ResolutionDoes any one else have this problem? If so have you heard of any resolution to this?
If you don't know already, DXDIAG is DirectX Diagnostic, it helps to solve problems, you might want to try it... Apart from that, I really can't think of anything... the Strings.dll update is supposed to do it.
DxDiag report does not show any probs. Actually I tried reverting to SP1 and reinstalling DirectX 9.0c and it works. So there seems to be no conflict with DirectX as well. It is only the SP2. Any ideas from the last post?
