As I am going through these forums, I noticed that the latest messages or news is last and old news or messages are first.

Is there a way to resort or get the webmaster to re-sequence out dated or older postings last, and new, fresh, posting first !

I would like to know what my fellow Spartans think now, not after looking through 100+ or more postings.
Well !
P.S. Yes, I will CC the Webmaster

whaa? you mean the threads? if so that is the way every thread on every website I have ever seen is done this way? You read beginning to end and if you add on you add on to the end.

Ya know, that's a good idea. It's so hard to find the fresh stuff in these forums cuz all the old threads are first. By putting the new stuff first, we will be able to get the latest news and not the old news that was hot months ago. A few of us Elites would love to have this change, as long as Bungie's okay with it.

Seriously what are you two talking about? The threads are listed newest posts first. And when you open a thread its shows it from beginning to newest(end)?

Surely he's talking about the sorting order of posts within a thread... Well, I think he is anyway.

Some forums allow you to change that order so that newer posts are at the top of the page. Personally I think the "start at the beginning" system we have now works best.

I agree with the current system. The first posts should be first, and you can always click on the last post and start at the end.

I would prefer a slightly different system, although I can see potential problems.

Anyway, the one I think HBO has is what I'm talking about. Each thread can branch out from its original post, as threads here so often do, but without creating super-huge, dense discussions. Replying to a subthread of a thread might be preferable to searching through 20 pages of posts on different topics within the main thread subject.

Also, threads could go off on a million different tangents without detracting from the original subject.

How much time and effort would it take bungie to do that? I would not be opposed to that kind of system.

Coming from a forum goer over at HBO I'd have to disagree. Given the size of their community and the length of average threads (no more than 20 replies, on average around 3-5) that system works there. However...over here it would not. GIven the massize sizes of certain threads, and also I'm sure the anemitites like a symbol, and signatures would have to go. I think what we have right now is perfect. Everything is kept nice and simple. No ugly custom symbols, smilies, or picture linking is allowed. It keeps the forums clean and nice.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

I want the old system back...

You can have it. The rest of us will stick with a system that works.

I'll be on my own side.

How would we go back to the old system?
