With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.
Here's a few more:
1.) A really weird Forerunner Facility. In this, there would be a number of intersecting cylindrical pathways, 7 (hehe) of which lead to a very powerful gravitational machine at the centeral room. The other pathways connect the 7 in a spider-web like manner (but they don't spiral in towards the center). Not too weird, you say? Just listen. The 7 pathways falsely loop back and connect themselves. (by this, I mean that they don't loop around... I'll explain: If you started at the central room, and there was no machine in the central room, and you were to choose one of the seven pathways and keep walking along it, you'd eventually end up back in the central room, even though you didn't turn around. You could walk infinitely in one direction, but not go anywhere new). In theory, you could sniper yourself from behind (but the machine at the center of the map prevents this... Aside from this weirdness, here's another thing: The gravitational machine emits gravitational pulses in random directions (but the directions have to be towards one of the 7 main tubes) at random times (but the time between two pulses cannot exceed two minutes). These gravitational pulses are extremely powerful, but only affect the players caught in a pulse by "freezing" them ... They will also cause any weapons fire that intercept the field range of the pulse to be immediately directed in the direction of the pulse. These pulses will last for several seconds, and do not affect anyone outside of the tube that the random pulse was shot at, allowing for many new ways to kill someone. For example: Someone is caught in a pulse, but you are not. You throw a plasma grenade into the pulse, and the grenade is automatically forced onto the player that was caught in it by the generated gravity. Also, since weapons fire is also affected, you can shoot anything into a pulse (IE sniper rifle, rocket launcher), and hit whoever is caught in it (unless they are not exactly in the center of the tubes, since they will be large enough to make a possibility of the gravity-affected fire to miss the player you indirectly shoot at). It may be hard to understand this in writing... for that, I apologize.
2.) The inside of a Covenant ship.
3.) A gravity-less arena. To manuver, you simply face the direction you want to go, and push off a wall (you have to be near a wall) by pressing the jump button. This would turn plasma grenades into even more deadly weapons, since they go straight, and would lessen the effectiveness of frags (but, if you become good enough, the frag grenade's potential can be unleashed in new ways, creative ways). And it WILL be possible to become stuck away from walls (you jump off a wall, but if you shoot enough, or are affected by some explosive, you may decelerate and become stuck, and will be unable to move until you respawn (you will respawn next to walls). This would be very hard to get used to, but would be very fun for some who like the concept, if done right.
What do you think?
