I think it would be cool to have two bases that are on different sides of a lake. You can take the long away around the lake, or take one of the many banshees and fly across the lake to the other base. The bases would we multiple levels with side rooms filled with weapons, and a big multi-level room with the flag in the middle. The would also be hidden tunnels that run under the lake, big enough to drive warthogs in.

A stormy dark green misty ocean., each team gets 4 boats and there are 3 islands. OH yeah like i said before more than 16 players playable, but this time it goes to like 100 people per team(each boat holds like 25 people, they're row boats but are big enough to fit 25 people). insane? u bet it is. in the boats mutated creatures can come out and atempt to break your ship if u don't kill it, or get to an island before it does.underground is where the flags will be, but only through the side islands can u get underground (team islands) underground u can here water and once the offensive team gets the flag, the lights go out and then spirits come out without u knowing. The underground is huge 2, You hear the 2 doors close. you try to open them but they won't (the terminal is out of power). so your team breaks up into 10's and you search a way out. The ghosts attak you and they scare the crap out of you (thinking they don't exist). so you report this to the lead team but they are to far away you check any others... all but one team is near you. But your batteries go out. your team travels farther then a ghost girl talks to you. " you'll die down here... get out..." she screams and disapears. your team finds the doors shut. but find another door leading to underground's basement. You don't want to go down, even though u no it's the only way out, to go down. that's not what scares you though. What does is the sign, even though the paint is scratched you can tell what it says. INSANE PRISON LABERATORIES. Your group's leader touches the door, the girls says "no!" then quickly disapears. your team is really scared you might be missing a few people. You go in 3rd or wut ever and can't believe your eyes when you get down. Blood is everywhere a person walks forword then a ghost comes from the walls screaming and grabs him. after going through to the center your gruop has seen no signs of ghosts. they enter a room. Your team leader walks up to a flashing panal. the girl apears and says "i warned you". You wonder why. then suddenly the group leader activates the panal. Then suddenly al the rest of your team reaches you, eccept for at least 10, so the 80 others come and say "Don't activate the panal the experiment will come ali-" you all hear screams across the labratory, "We're to late crap!" the girls come to you and says "hurry!" she points to the exit on the map and dissapears. you all run for the exit shooting all the experiments, as they take out half your team. you all make it except 30 of you, You realize it's not your base. you get on the boats and get attaked by more (swiming) experiments a boat is taken out and finaly you reach your base, you go to the flag room where you return the flag and shut the door. only 7 of you are left. the team leader returns the flag and says " .............. ready for round 2?"

Alright. A huge city (say 20 sq miles), buildings every where (many witch you can climb into), four VERY large buildings at each corner of the city (one for each team), two high-ways that cross from each base (like so= +) mre soon... (I gota go, i'll type the rest later)

I think there should be a map just like blood gulch...Only have it shaped like a + and have a base at each end of the +. Whenever someone captures the flag of a team. You switch to a different base. Oh yeah. There is a sniper part In the very middle of the +

I'd take a giant city level, about 15-20 sq miles, with main streets wide enough to maneuver two Scorpions, not to mention side streets for Warthogs and Ghosts, and alleyways for SMG'ers. Enough space in the map for 100 - 200 players to maneuver. Hellipads with Banshees and human airships (if any). 20-30 buildings that you can enter, fully destructible(sounds like fun with the Scorpions), with plenty of sniper and mg positions (turrets in several windows). A park off to one end, with a lake and a zoo. A river running through the middle of the map, with destructible bridges and tunnels, wide enough for 2 Scorpions. Extensive, maze-like catacombs running underneath the city (a la Paris) with acces to the Sewers and Subway systems, and several strategic positions throughout the level. Four skyscrapers, with destructable windows and such, that you are free to enter.

Two teams spawn in the skyscrapers respectively, one team spawns in the subways/sewers/catacombs, and another in the slums. Each team has reasonable access to weapons and vehicles. 20 min time limit for CTF, and 400-600 kill limit for each team on Team Slayer.

Include a night version of this map, where you could shoot out the streetlights, or stand in the skyscrapers and watch the banshees fly around, and see the plasma mortars from the Wraiths soar over buildings and detonate. You'd have to keep your flashlights off or risk being tracked due to the lights, or watch as your muzzle flash illuminates your enemies.

With voice chat, you could put a sniper in one of the skyscrapers to scout out the city, and call in an air strike. You could fortify your team's section of the map with vehicles and use the catacombs to infiltrate the enemy's section and steal their flag. You could use the Wraiths as artillery and take out enemy fortifications.

How's it sound?

i just got a mod chip for the box, and found there's this program that lets you design your own halo maps. i've already got a mod in mind, in which i add a play mode where all the lights are off. in this mode, players would have to find eachother according to flashlights and sniper rifle night vision. if i ever get it done, i'll update how it goes. imagine, playing in blood gulch under a new moon with the flashlights winking in the distance. i think it should be fun.

what's with all these people OBESSED with sniping? forget that, i'm more of a "direct approach" type of person. rush in. fire off a clip. duck for cover. throw a grenade or two. bust in to finish the job.

I think if I could design a multiplayer map it would be a plain King of the hill type of a situation where one team is on the top of the hill and the other at the bottom. Plain and simple.

I thought it would always be cool to have a map where there are about 5 or so levels of a tower complex. Each level has a diffrent set of cubical like mazes where you can duck down and hide in if an enemy comes charging by. Also you could make use of vent shafts to sneak into an enemies base. Maybe even have a window cleaner thing that you can ride up and down levels on. Then you can have stairs, elevators, and other ammenities....maybe itd be an awsome ctf map where one team is on the top floor and another is on the bottom. O

alright, this might be alittle long...


so ur in the middle of a huge city, like the one in the e3 demo exept the buildings are intact. at both ends there is a small base ( just bigger than the ones in BG).you can enter all the buildings but only some of them have ammo rooms in them.there are banshees on some buildings. both bases have 3 warthogs, a regular one, one with the cannon, and one troop carrier ( like the one in OXM's first halo2 edition),and 2 atvs. i had an idea on how the buildings could collapse so...every building as a one floor basment that has 4 support beams that when destroyed you have one minute to leave the building through an emergency exit that will open up when the four beams are destroyed.any ammo or bahnsees that are there will go down with the rest of the wreckage. in my world the kill limit could be set to 200 so the entire city could be a burning pile af rubage before anyone wins. there would be windows(not the pain in butt kind) that you could break and snipe out of or mabey push people out of. this kind of building set up would be great for online play because running around a corner and right into an enemy could lead to some very intersteing close range battles which would be cool if both people only had sniper rifles and smgs. the intiriors of the buildings would be like offices with narrow walkways and every square inch packed with the ultimate enemy thin walled...cubicicals (ahhhhhhh!) whitch the walls would blow apart like the lobby in the origanal matrix, or apartments whitch could be entered and destoyed. the middle of the city would have a large base with a turret similar to the scropian but bigger that could litteraly blast a whole in the side of any near by building. that base would have 2 ghosts,1 banshee,and is filled with rifles and pistols. there would be 1 turret on each corner of the base.throughout the streets there would be fliped 18 wheelers, cars, and tanker trucks that when shot enough would make a giant explosion killing everyone in the imediate area and might destroy a weakened building some cars would be upside down leaned up agenst another car that could be jumped with a warthog(i learned how to spell that).giant runoff canals would zig zag through the city and would be filled with debris and if you followed them al the way they would lead from one base to the other(excluding the middle one)

I think someone should make a map a close as possible to the one shown at the e3 demo this year (2004) ... Not necessarily with the destructible terrain but as close as possible.

I would have to say a City like New York,with tall buildings so you can snipe out windows or jump out windows, and have it dark and raining and the only lights are the bulidings.You can sneek behind cars and shoot through the car windows, and you can blow the houses up with a few rockets or grenades.And their can bee a lakeside canal with a bridge.

I would make mine be a huge field with bushes and rocks spread out within the area. There would be two huge 3 level bases on each end. The lenth would be about as long as blood gulch but it would be twice as wide. There would be trees that you could go in for perfect sniping spots. There should be a big sign that says "Be aware of snipers. The spotted will be shot. If they don't die, they will be shot again."

I just wanted to know all you guys' ideas for cool multiplayer maps...So if you could create your own multiplayer map...What would it be? After I see some peoples ideas I will post my own.

My map would be to large bases bigger than the ones in blood gulch more like fortresses with large towers on top and with turrets of your choice infront of them between the two bases would be various different ways to get to the others base such as hidden caves or by wading in deep swamp water or you could drive any vehicle to the other base it would be fun to hide a scorpian in the swamp water under some branches and swamp vegetation but this level would be for CTF or KOTH mostly.

I think that it should be a CTF/Slayer/ Team Slayer/ King of the Hill in an urban area while its snowing or was snowing during the nighttime with 2 tall tower like bases that oversee the entire city/urban area with the flag right at the top with a lift or stair case or a teleporter to the top or they could use a banshee to land on a small landing field like the one from the second time u go on the snow level from halo. With 2 or 4 gun turrets at the corners of the open area at the top and 2 turrets in front of the garage that hold the vehicles: 2 Warthogs, Scorpion, ATV (optional), and 2 Ghosts. The map would have 2 sides with a river in the middle and 2 bridges crossing them. Maybe some turrets on buildings too! Some buildings you can enter to shoot from holes in the walls or go on top of the buildings and snipe from there.

I would make a huge city map too, but with more interacting enviroments like in the Halo 2 multiplayer video. With gates and doors and stuff. I would have some sniping spots, but not too many, cuz I like to go in guns blazing.
