you know i think we forgot a vehicle! the transport bus! that thing will be great, though if we can use phantoms all the better...*starts day dreaming of a phantom fully loaded with elites droping on an enemy base*

Well, the area would be a big canyon dessert with petrified sand dunes off to the side. And it is big. There are rock outcrops all over designed for hiding, only if you duck. some will be hollow in the middle with a teleporter inside. There is a guard tower on each end with a red or a blue base at the base. It is lined with some ridges on the sides. No vegetation. Grenades and the top of the towers and by some outcrops. Enough room for Ghosts, but Warthogs would be a bit hard to handle on the lumpy petrified sand dunes because they would jump them. Scorpions would be able to tackle the dunes with ease. Spartans able to jump on outcrops. Cave on one side of the arena. Arena is like a long oval shape, just a bit off. Rocket launcher will be located on top of a big outcrop. It is hard to reach, but possible. You have to either get a warthog and park it close enough to it to jump from the warthog to the rock, or jump on a lower rock a little bit away and slowly make your way to the rock by jumping on outrops and boulders. Petrified sand dunes to the right side in the middle, rock boulders and outcrops almost everwhere else except near the bases. Keep outcrops slightly spaced apart.

Would be an idea to use the campaign levels as multiplayer levels. Huge map, but awesome. Driving around the city looking for the enemy. SUDDENTLY from the window - BANG! BANG! You're dead!

I think it would be really cool if there was somthing like in pretator there could be a crashed drop ship and louds of dead marines And you would be there with your team then you could come under attack when you get to a marine bace camp it would be so cool

The perfect multiplayer level would be on a giant mountain range with cliffs and mountain walls on all sides. On both sides of the plain their would be a giant hill with a base on top. The only way to get to the base would be up a path heavily gaurded by machine guns. Around the base their would be several trenches for people to jump into and start shooting. In the middle of the map their would be boulders for people to hide behind. And a deep river cutting the map in half with two bridges that have to be crossed to get to the other side. Each base would come with two land vehicles of your choice. The game could be anything from Capture the Flag to just plain and simple kill them all.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Design a multiplayer map? I'd choose some kind of level like Assault On the control room meets Timberland meets Blood gulch....I'll let you picture it for yourselfs.

My Stats

The inside of a sphere. Completely "flat" (by that, I mean no objects for cover). You'd be albe to see enemies walking on the other "sides" above or around you, and if you jump or get blasted high enough, you'd pass through gravity zones and effectively land on the opposite side. Just think a small Halo, but spherical. Just think: You see an overshield, and there is an enemy walking on the other side above you. You want to get to him, so, you get a rocket launcher, pick up the shield and rocket jump to the other side.... and while "rising/falling," you shoot your second rocket at the guy you want to kill.

Yeah i think this is called a Bernal Sphere and would be a cool level (the poles along the axis would have to be inaccessable to prevent obvious problems)

I think that a level like "boarding action" would be cool. But instead of two UNSC ships, have one UNSC and one Covie. and have a play with gravity (or lack thereof) between the two so that the only way to get from one to the other isn't just by teleporter.

The map would start out in a huge city much like New Mombasa, CTF only, one team defensive, would be placed at the center of the city in a large sky scraper housing a flag on the top, with aircraft and other ground vehicles at hand they can cover the entire city (approx. 8 sq miles) in a few minutes, the other team offensive, would be placed at the city limits, and would have only warthogs and ghosts to get them where they need to go, the exclusion of aircraft from the team retrieving the flag would add to the odds, upon start, offensive team would move toward the skyscraper, the entire city would be highly destructable, and the defensive team would be able to blast entire buildings over to create rougher terrain for the offensive team to manuever over, this would cause them to slow down, but subway systems would provide them with further transportation, although they could be destroyed as well, or the tunnels collapsed, resulting in the train, and occupants to die on impact with the collapsed section, every building would be open, making gurrilla warfare tactics nearly essential, but could be avoided, if the offensive team made it to the skyscraper, they would be met bu fire in any and every direction, but if they got inside the building, they would find that their only mode of transportation to the top of the building, where the flag was kept would be the stairs, there would be elevators available to the defensive team only so that they had a further advantage indoors where vehicles would be allowed but hard to use, on the stairwells, there would be motion detectors, security cameras, and lights, all that can be removed by burst fire, but if the offensive team is caught on one, it will immediately alert the defensive team of the enemy's presence, and the floor they were on, and they would be able to meet them head on from the elevator doors on each floor, all the way to the top. But they would have to watch out, a rocket or grenade placed at an elevator door would blast it open, revealing the nearly bottomless opening of the elevator shafts, and once the doors are gone, a well placed rocket shell could blast the cables free, sending the elevator and it's occupants, plummeting to the ground floor, explosion size with be different depending on what level the elevator fell from, and the explosion at the ground level would oblitlerate anybody, good or bad, that was at the bottom, but they would have to watch out too, too much structural damage at the bottom of the building when the elevator hits ground zero could topple the entire building, destroying the flag, and resulting in a tie. If the offensive team made it to the top, after retrieving the flag they would be able to take the enemy's aircraft to assist them on their retreat to the city limits, and once the flag is gone, the building housing it could be destroyed with rocket fire and banshee fire at the ground floor, killing anyone inside or near the large distance the collapse would cover, and affectively giving the flag carrier that extra time to get the flag to a safe distance before the players respawn. It's a little bit complicated, and would take an extensive timer of around 30-45 minutes a match, but i think it would give players an unforgetable experience. and Sense of reality.

i probably wouldnt play levels like that, look at Zanzibar, thats a medium sized level right, its cool, even a medium sized map has vehicles, imaging how cool a large map would be, all the detail and stuff, and small levels would rock too, i find i play them alot in Halo1, but a level too small, wouldnt be too much fun, especially if there were shotguns or overshields, the person who got these would be unstoppable, maybe plasma swords would be too strong too!

I would build a map that has a jungle theme. with one base up in some cliffs and the other on the ground. i would include shade and the 50 cals for defense. it would be a perfect capture the flag level.

I think a four-way blood gulch would be sweet, instead of just 2 colors make it like, four different colors and make blood gulch like a cross... four-way, so u could do 1v1v1v1 it would rock!

The ideal map is a balanced map where no single styles of gameplay rule. A field, no, a sniper rules a field. A jungle, no, no sniping would be possible, really. Look, you have a massive sniping tower which has a superior vantage on all outside pionts, but in order to get to the tower, one must travel through a series of smaller tunnels which would periodically vary in size in order to cater to different weapons. That way, one is always thinking and analyzing terrain and switching weapons based on their analyzations. The winner would be the person who had the most skill with each weapon.

As most of you know ( hopefuly) the Spartans of Halo are named after the greatest warriors of all time the Spartans of Sparta. In a bit of history (yes, yes I know its boring but it can be cool), the Spartans showed their might at the Pass of Thermopalae ( excuse my spelling). Greece was at war with Persia, and an army of Persians went to attack Athens. The Spartans went to route the Persians at the only way in, the Pass of Thermopalae. It was a few hundred Spartans (the number I forget) versus an army of Persians, and the Spartans won. Now if you replace the Perians with the Covenant and the Spartans of Sparta with the Spartans of Halo, then you have a game. It would be like single flag CTF, one team would protect a base in which the only entrance would be the Pass. The Pass would have turrets and heavy weapons. The other team would spawn on a beach, with vehicles. And please excuse my spelling and my hisorical inaccuracies which I tried to keep at a minimum, so if you find a mistake please note it.
