I Know a good multiplayer map would be Just like blood gultch but it'II be a big O in a birds eye
With 4 forts......

Ok what I would do is basically flood blood gulch with about 4-6 foot of water with boulders and other hidden objects that you could hit while walking through it the bases would be floating above the water about 20 foot or so with a teleporter the only way up to it or banshee's, there would also be really deep holes in the water for you to hide in and ambush the enemy and about 30 feet infront of the base and 5 foot above would be a vehicle landing pad for instance if you were playing on a elite team there would be ghost,banshee's, dropships and the such but the MC team would have Human weapons and vehicles including a pelican but to get there youwould have to activate a light bridge from inside the base of course there would be a winding path of dry land to fight and drive on but most would take place in the water or in the air

they should have map-making features for halo 2. it would be awesome with all the great ideas i see in this thread. They could just make a selection in optimatch to set it to authentic maps and user-created maps. it wouldn't hurt the game at all, and maps would never get old.

My Multiplayer map would be the crash site of a Covenant Cruiser. On top of that I would have a large sorrounding area too, maybe a big field with some bolders and trees. It would be a sick map because people would scramble through all kinds of stuff too get to the ships hanger and commandeer vehicles. There would be all sorts of places to make your stand or ambush people. Now to add a little twist.... some portals on the map will be a one way ticket to the ships brigg, here you will have to have a frend hit the cell controls to momentarily shut down the energy wall, if you dont have frends..... i hope you have a grenade or two.

I had an idea sotta like LordBantoc's that used a lightbridge as a stragtic point. There are two islands facing eachother, but quite a way apart, a little longer than the distance between the bases in blood gluch. One one island would be a crashed human ship and on the other a crashed enimey ship (the flag is onboard the ships). Each ship would have a hanger with two one-man attack crafts, a banshee and the human equlivent, two tanks and two worthogs. There would also be a pilotable dropship, (a pelicon and the cool purple covenant one. The islands would be coverd with stationary guns, so it would be very hard for the drop-ships to land without blowing up. Connecting the islands would be a VERY long lightbridge that can be sniped/gunned at from each of the islands. On each island there is a small building (protected from snipers that houses the controls for the light bridge. These are VERY defendable against land assults (i'm talking stationary rocked launchers and machine guns that can spin 180 covering the whole door. The buildings would have no roofs and a banshee/human craft could land in them easily. This setup would allow two stragties for getting the flag. The first would be to have most of the players (about six) get on the dropship and have the other two dly banshees/human craft to cover the dropship while it lands. The second would be to have the two banshees/human craft land in the oppising lightbridge control room and switch it on, allowing the rest of the team to come accross in warthogs and tanks. This make it easer to get the flag, but the lightbridge control room would have to be defended while the whole time so the others can get the flag back.

If I could design one, it would be an abandoned old building with a long row of low isles and few crates that you could use for cover (kind of like a grocery store that sells guns). You couldn't use vehicles, but if you knew someone was in the next isle, you could throw a grenade into it. The lights could also be shot out for added craziness.

I've always thought that having a multiplayer level with little to no lighting would be fun. Then you'd have to run around with your flashlight on or have a sniper gun in hand to do anything useful. It'd be so creepy not knowing where people are.

My other idea is having a vertical level instead of horizontal where one base is at the top and the other base it at the bottom (similar to damnation in that the upper base is easier to defend, but once the flag is taken it's easier to capture on the way back to the bottom base). But I want it straight up and down. It would make for unique battles and strategies.

mine would be the basic same layout as BG, but longer. It would have much larger bases, one base would be a tower and the other an underground facility. The flag would be on the 3rd floor, and a sniper, or better yet, if they made a sniper turret, put that in the fourth floor, but the floor is on a platform jutting out of the tower. The weakness is are the many latters leading up to the sniper floor, and, if you use enough rockets, grenades, or use a tank or 2, you can destroy the entire sniper platform, then crawl in from above to get the flag. The underground base (covanant built) will have 3 tunnels you can enter to get to the second floor, and one unstable area in the ground where you can blast it away with a grenade and slide down a tube to the bottom floor. The flag is inside a small pillbox with 3 shades and an energy sheild that blocks grenades from being thrown in and blocks bullets, but can be temporarly disabled by plasma fire or nearby plasma grenades. The opening to get inside is in the back, where no tunnels lead. I think this would make a good CTF map.

It would be a cross between Blood Gulch and TImberland. It would have cool jumps, but less trees. Also there would be a portal that would take you to a mini floating donut like thing floating above the level where you could snipe or try to throw vehicles on the people below.

I'd make a multi-tiered level with sniping points above, but plenty of cover below, in a spiral shape.

In the center of the map would be a big drop-off that would go from the top level to the ground level. There would also be a "basement" and "roof" area, but those would be separated from everything in between, except by the ladders leading to them.

Four tunnels at opposing sides of the map would lead to "bases", with branching tunnels meeting and blending into other areas of the map.

In the basement would be a wide open area, good for vehicles, but with low light. Night vision would come into play here. A nice idea would be to toss grenades down through holes in the top of the room.

The roof is outside, as are the "bases". So you can pick up a Banshee from the roof and make your way to the other team's flag point of CTF, but there are also gun turrets on the roof, so getting back to your base would be tough.

It would be possible to climb on the outside of the level up to the very top by "climbing" ledges. There are also shutters that could be pushed out to see out from the inside.

There are switches that can be activated, cycling the tunnels. That means that whenever someone activates them, the tunnels leading and bases would move, alternating positions. Of course, everyone would be notified when this happens.

The roof can't be shot off, but holes can be put into it by rockets or grenades, allowing the Banshees into the heart of the structure.

The bases' tunnels can be collapsed at either end, but it would be possible to unblock them with a well-placed explosive. If anyone gets trapped inside them, there are ladders leading into the basement from them.

Mine would be like a fukin map with mirrors for walls, and the doors switch up so u cant memorize the path ways, now that woudl be some crazy stuff right htere

ok i dont know if this has been said already but what i think would be a cool multiplayer map (and a cool single player map) would be in a well known city or something like in san fransico or los angelas or maybe new york or something only it would be more futuristic but anyways i think that would be cool

my map would be a war torn battlefield sporting two large bases with multiple sniper towers and objects to stop veichles from coming to close. Inside the bases would be a main room with weapon racks and a roof with and enclosed bunker like top holding 2-3 nicely placed turrets(like in the trailer). Between the bases would be a flat large plain with many scatterd walls that have been damaged from past battles. The map would also contain small bunkers scattered across the field for team support. This level would mainl;y be made for ctf and tdm.

mine would be the sgc with 2 bases blue inthe sgc the flag in the conference room ond the reds on the other side of the stargate( a teleporter) will be the human vehicles an open field like ace 7 7 7 with a small base like blood gulch
the weapons for humans would be a p-90, mp5 rocket launcher and desert eagle

the goa'uld would be staff weapon zat the big pulse launcer like on the death gliders
the veichles should change banshee to death glider
ghost to goa uld tank
the scorpion will be an m1 or similar tank
the gun turret should become a pulse gun like the death glider
i dont have the editing tools so if someone could make this, that would be cool

The ultimate multiplayer map would be like a mix between Boarding Action and Prisoner. It would be as big as Prisoner but have 5 stories like Boarding Action. Teleporters would lead from each level. A game of rockets would be very interesting.

im not a LOTR freak, but i think one desinged kinds like that giant white city in the 3rd movie would be cool. it woul be great 4 i flag ctf, as one side would have banshees, and could try to invade the city, while the ppl in the city would have turrets, rocket launchers, etc. it would be huge, so if u actualy can haave as many units as bungie says u can have in multiplayer..... it would blaming own!!

there should be a map designed on the pillar of autumn you could have the atv and goast in some places and mbie thay have a vehcal to go outside and if a wall got distroyed (heres hopeing theres distuctable enviroments) it would suck you into space and you would die i think that would be awesome

I wsant a large map like BG. However, this map will incorporate the ability to flank a team and take out half their team from behind.It will have secret passageways on the sides of the map and underground that lead DIRECTly behind the opposing teams. This will incorporate more teamwork to guard other areas
