it would be great to have lots of cover and bullets flying all over the place and the hot bullet shells hitting the floor one by one. I'd have a big jungle and camo outfits where no one can see u hiding in the tree or in the grass, it would be stealth paradise it would be dark with a whole bunch of trees all over the place and have an ancinet palace with good snipering places up above and in trees. Ok now vehicles we'd have 2 sets of warthogs with miniguns and 2 sets of rockets on the warthogs and 2 tanks and be able to hang from rope or wire to shoot palyers coming by with them saying wat the -blam!- i got shot and never saw him. And the guns would be camo with no map where the players show up for more of a challenge and if the enemy finds run as fast as u can back to ur base or cover and find him unguarded looking the other way walk behind him whack him behind the head with ur assault rifle or pistol or what ever u have as a gun thanks for patiences u shall pass.

have a hilly area- have ledges off hills- so warthogs can go off jumps . and people can hide under the jumps and way waste to the bellies of the warthogs. Also have a blood gulch area with aves and outlaying turrets from the mountainside

do u know what be a great idea?an omaha beach kinda level with one team firing down with mounted machineguns while the other team runs for cover and tries to get into the base, thats kinda like the level in Halo 2 called Zanzaber, u'ed know if you read the IGN thing. oh yea, is any1 a member of IGN? and if you are did you watch the direct-feed videos and the eight-minute one? if any1 did plz tell me how it was and what it showed!

My Idea.

It would be set in a strip mine with each team spawning in small building around the parimeter. In the middle there would be a pannel, and if someone activates that panel, everyone dies (no lol), several openings open in the ground and all hell breaks lose (assuming there will be bots) tons of bots will be swarming out of the openings, and if they play for long enough a larger hole in the groung opens up and the bots come out with tank and what not, sooner or latter the bots will stop pouring out and the players are free to go in and explore the caverns inside, looking for one thing, a flag, the first team to bring the flag back to their base wins.

If I designed a map it would be a plain with hills, canyons, and great sniping and explosion areas for maximum carnage.

My multiplayer map would be one that you could hide easily in and with lots of secret places, could u camoflage a tank*:-) it'd be in a huge city that u can go from building to building, banshees on top of buildings, hogs in the streets, if you've seen the demo for halo 2 you know what i'm talking about.....or an elimination level with all ghosts..... imagine that, 16 ghosts flyin around killin eachother--------greatest idea ever....16 on a few...lets say....thousand covenant?give or take a few. You pick their weapons, you pick the race, the vehicle, and best yet, you choose how they die, by either ur gun or one of ur 15 buddies guns/ vehicles, man what i can think of when i have alot of time to think

I would have a large level with a few creeks, small hills, and alotta trees. You would of course have all of the vehicles and guns. There would be little holes in the ground that you can hide in (like carneyholes except visible). A few bunkers would be nestled in hills.

I would have to go with ace7 7 7 and lantern a large hilly map with some dense forest parts like a vietnam and civil war map rolled into one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but there must be room to drive those new fully destructable worthog through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damn i need to be a level designer that would be cool if the gane shiped with a level editor and you could upload user created levels onto Xbox Live.

Or, perhaps the level could be like this:

There are 4 bases [spires], each easily 30 stories high. They sit roughly the size of Bloodgulch apart. Between the bases is an interwoven and lush forest, spreading out to mountains just as the bases come up. The mountains then steeply go up, creating a "bowl" shaped area. (getting cool no?) When playing CTF...there are four routes to the flag. The first is the simple flight in a banshee or other new vehicle to the top. Two is a vertical-altered-gravity drive up the spire. Three theres the zip cords that run in between bases (but its pretty easy to take someone out). And four you can use a series of teleports or climb the spire to get the flag. In the forest are hidden stake-outs for ambushes. This map would have soooooooo many sniper areas. It would be the best of CTF and Slayer. It would be awsome.

Another Multi Player Map I would make would be a huge circular canyon that would be 7 km in circumfrence. There would be tons of npc hunters in a trench that goes through the whole of the diameter horizontaly that splits the canyon in two. The bases would be in the walls opposite eachother in the middle of their half. There would be two ramps on each side of the trench to get to the other side. There would be an underground garage/armory under each base filled with warthogs, tanks, wraith tanks, ghosts, and atvs in the garage half of it. In the armory half of it there would be fuel rod rocket launchers, regular rocket launchers, shotguns, battle rifles, uzis, smgs, snipers, pistols, needlers, plasma rifles, and plasma pistols. On top of a platform above each base there would be stationary rocket launchers with 10x magnification, shades with 2x mag, chain guns with 2x mag, snipers with 40x mag that shoot 20mm bullets, plasma cannons, and a giant cannon that shoots meter wide, 3 meter long rockets with 2x mag.There would also be npc hunters roaming the whole canyon. Right around the trench a huge battle would be going on, helped by the snipers and the stationary rocket launchers. There would also be an arial banshee battle with 3 banshees for each base, but the banshees would be unable to go lower than the platforms that are above the bases. Around the higher area would be nooks and crannies to hide in, rocks to take cover behind, and caves to roam and kill in. This level would fit about 60 players and probably would be a xbox live level only.

I had an idea like the sphere idea, except it was two parallel levels, something like Hang'em High, except there would be a similar level above you. The bases would be on each parallel side. One way to get over to the other side would be a teleporter. Also, someone could climb the tower and jump at the top of it where the gravity changes. it would be fun with snipers because you could look at the ceiling and snipe.

I think a map with areas of water and having some kind of covenant or human water vehicles to use with gunner position's would be kind of cool....i can see some serious hydrocrafts with multiple chiefs duking it out across sea.....that would be kind of cool/different.

i would want to see a multiplayer map based in a wetland or dense swamp. The bases are part of mountain sides, multifloors where the bases have exits coming out of the ground for vehicles, and a platform high above for banshees. Something with water levels above the waist, where there would be high spots where warthogs and ghosts could travel through. The trees would be thick but with patches with light shining through for little light. I picture this level with three different areas of fighting. Above the trees where banshees have dog fights, withing and around the swamp and in the bases. I have thought about this before, but never talked about it. This level could work as a sneaking in or a all out assault. With sneaking you could crouch behind trees crouch through the swamp moving little to avoid being seen, or pull a assault with vehicles charging the front door.
Well thats the main idea of mine.

I just wanted to know all you guys' ideas for cool multiplayer maps...So if you could create your own multiplayer map...What would it be? After I see some peoples ideas I will post my own.

im goin with a huge jungle level. put waterfalls and long rope bridges in the level. make the terrain very bumpy to make driving more difficult, and make a river extend through the whole level. put a couple caves in there, behind the waterfalls for good sniping.

Great idea, i had a really similar one a page or two ago.

Some of these maps sound cool but lets be real this post is just hypothetical.
Possibly bungie will look at some of these ideas and get inspired is probably the most we can hope for. personally i think the jungle ideas are a no go, 343GS was one of my least favorite maps

one huge open field,with a trench on each side,as long as the level itself,and a base in the middle with the flag in it.It would be a mad,chaotic race to get the flag.

Ok, this would be a human vs. Covie map. imagine Normandy beach from "Saving Private Ryan". Now, 2 tropical islands with the the normandy beach scene on both sides, and a hug shallow watter section inbetween the islands, with cover and everything. all vehichles enabled. and you can only get human weapons from the human side, and ditto for covies.
I could just imagine it now, huge assualt team of elites storming the beach with ghosts and banshees...

Dude,you gotta love the alamo. mabye a kind of apoctolipic blpownup burnign city map thats vvery destrubible. one base has far less players(spartans), but with kick ass spawn weapons, hella vehhicals, and stationary weapons up the wazoo. set apon the upper part of a city. theyre bas e would be in aclear spot , possbily a little part of the city tyhat was completely leveled by artilary. and have the covies(elites) commign out of tth many standing buildings. the spartasn would eb in some kind of compound(tempary military base, old bunker, something) and would have to hold off the masses of elites.

I got a -blam!- sick ass idea. If there was a possibility that you could have like 100 ppl play online(yeah right), that would be hella awesome for my map.
It's a square pyramid w/o a top and instead it's just a square top.
This would be hella sick for CTF games. The defensive team stays on the inside of the pyramid ( they can exit it through the doors/plasma walls(or whatever) on the bottom of the pyramid to attack offense or retrieve flag), and the offensive team stays outside w/ like every kind of vehicle.
This is gonna get complicated.
Offense
The offensive team can use weapons/vehicles to try to break open the doors, w/ like 50 MC's guarding them inside of the pyramid. They can also use Banshees to try to fly into it through the square top on the pyramid by destroying it (the square can be used as a sort of an elevator for the defense to deploy vehicles like ghosts, imagine using a ghost/warthog to dive down a pyramid!).
Defense
Defensive team can use elevator (mentioned in previous paragraph) to release vehicles to attack offense. There are also holes on the sides of the pyramid (results of battle damage) that can allow MC's to come out.
Inside the pyramid
Inside the pyramid, it's a huge battlefield w/ the flag right in the center. It's like a room filled w/ death. It's big enough for Banshees and other vehicles to fit in. Inside, there are all these ledges and whatever that defensive MC's can stand on to snipe enemies who get in.
Outside the pyramid
Outside of the pyramid it's a big desert w/ like every vehicle, including turrets. The pyramid is destructible, so if it's destroyed, then it's gonna be a mad fight for the flag. To win, you gotta get the flag to one of the spawn points (they are far away from the pyramid).

That's my idea. Not so good though I think if you were playing w/ like 8 ppl.

If i were to design a Multiplayer map it would be really dark so you have to use the Flash light(including the ones on the warthog and scorpion tank) Jungle terrain with shallow water so if you run out of battery in the light you well have to listen 4 steps. A couple of sniper spots. Small bunkers that have an elevator that you push the button to go down in to a underground base that has lights on the roofs and heaps of technecal stuff like advanced computers and sounds with tables that there are guns and grenades on them the heath packs are on the walls like in the POA lvl. And air vents on the ground that you can crawl though that take you to other bases(being theres 4 of them) and the map shape would have to be a plus+shape a base each edge so that the middle would hav lots of battles and blood
