With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.
Some more to add to my collection (pp. 1 and 12):
1.) This is one that modifies my Covenant ship one (wasn't weird before): You're on the Ascendant Justice-Gettysberg hybrid ship in the slipstream anomaly from First Strike. You'd be limited to the outer corridors of one side of the ships (but you can go in towards the center a little bit). This level will have locked doors you won't be able to go through, because the level will be so big (if it didn't have the locks, the gameplay may get too stagnant). But, on the most exterior corridors, there will be fairly large portions of the walls that have been blasted away by enemy ship fire, which will serve as windows so you can observe the beautiful blueness of the anomalitic slipspace, as well as enemy Covenant ships and plasma torpedoes that wink in and out of existance periodically. Also, plasma torpedoes will impact (randomly, but not spaced too far apart in a timeline) the hybrid ship you are on, damaging the hybrid ship's shields (which will always shimmer, so you can tell that they're there). Once those shields fail, the plasma torpedoes will inflict damage on the ship itself. These shields will slowly regenerate after a while. If you are caught in a plasma torpedoes blast radius (big), you'll be incinerated. You don't even need to be in an open room to recieve damage from this, since the ship's walls will be destructible (only by the torpedoes), and the torpedoes will eat through the ship. After an hour, there will be no playable space left, and the ship will explode. Also, if you are caught in an open area when the shields go down, or in a closed spot where a torpedoe might eat through and expose the open slipstream, you'll be sucked out into the slipstream due to explosive decompression. While in space, you'll be able to see the ship you were just on, as well as the other ships and the weapons fire in the area (and you will die after a short time due to slipspace radiation, or if you're unlucky, you'll get hit by a plasma torpedo that you may cross paths with). The length of time you are able to play may depend on how unlucky you are (random torpedoes may hit a engine room (there will be two that you can play in, one on each ship) sooner in one game than in another, causing the time to be shortened in some cases). This map would make for awesome CTF play, due to the hazards. Also, if you're really lucky, you might catch an enemy Covenant exploding due to distant torpedo imapacts as well... What a sight to see.
But, there are complications: The ship itself taking damage (the shields will always be destructible) may be a problem, due to designated player and weapon spawn places. Weapons that are in the areas that get hit will not be there anymore after they get hit, so what would happen to these weapons? Should they respawn in other places after their initial spawning points disappear? Or should it be left the way it is? Player spawning places won't be too much of a problem, since one could make a program that makes players unable to spawn in places that were destroyed... after a while, the ship would become a cramped, hectic, but an even more fun playing space as things get smaller. But, perhaps the ship itself should be indestructible, since it will keep things a little more open. Also, due to the map's size, there might be lag and frame-rate problems. To solve this, maybe its possible to make loading zones for the level....
2.) Recreation of the underground mine shafts on Reach, complete with the Forerunner section (hallway with the different holographic scenes, and the crystal chamber, as well as the balconies). In the crystal chamber, the space will be affected in such a way that you might move more than you'd expect and not even notice it (like what happens in First Strike: Although they thought the Spartans and Halsey thought they were together, they eventually became split up due to the crystal's affect on space).
