I would make a map in a lake surrounded by cliffs with four islands, one base each, and a hole in the roof with a banshee in the middle of the base so it can rise up and be dogfight city. It would be called bloodlake, ghosts would hover on top of the water, and it would kick ass.

How about a base in the air sort of like boarding action. Too far apart to snipe like someone else previously said. 2 bridges connect them(long skinny ones). There is a wind current between the bridges. The bases contain many banshees for assault and warthogs to transport numbers across the bridge. In fact, the wind will be so strong you can only go across in a vehicle. Vehicles over time will regenerate. On either base there will be multiple turrets increasing as you move towards the flag. (This is a CTF map). As you enter into the room with the flag, there would be 4 motion sensor "bot" guns, as a final defense. Those are designed to defend the flag while you are gone. Then, outside on the roof and below the bridges there are 4 flak guns to take out banshees. Each team will also be given an EMP discharger that will be active once every 10 minutes. All players have to be in flag room at once to activate it. It disengages all bots, guns, vehicles, and shields of the opposite team for 1 minute. There should also be quite a few portable shields around. In the middle of the 2 bridges there will be a pad that connects the 2 that will be the size of about "LONGEST." That is designed to be able to be sort of like a king of the hill to hold back an invading team. Another great thing to add to the map is that when a team scores, all the players should be instantly transported to their own flag. As the game progress, the team with a lower score should get upgrades to armor and firing rate. They should also receive the ability to use the EMP device once every 9 minutes and it lasts for 1min and 30 seconds. That would give it a little edge. OH! What would be awesome though is if you made the map into an X so 4 teams could battle simutaneously. Imagine the dog fight. (Drooling in the background). That is what the flak guns are for. To take down the banshees. To finish, once every 25 minutes, one person from each team (the one with the most CTF scores (to make it interesting)) is transported to a secret area on the map while their team watches through that person's eyes. Each of the four people is given a club that turns into a pistol after 1 minute. The object of this mortal combat is to try to beat them to death and if it turns to a pistol, shoot them. The winner's team is awarded a CTF point and the game continues. Any questions?

Mine would be just liek the level 343 guilty spark.The ending would be basically wat my map would look like. Im tlaking about when u first see the spark in the swamp,If u wander around like i did there are two giant structures and have red and blue. Inside the base could be a ladder and a platform wit a battle rifle/sniper rifle and could defend the abse from there.

Note: This is going to be long, there's two maps. ( I hope there's enough chars for this :p)

Map #1
It would be placed in a canyon like blood gulch, and at each end, in addition to one of those little bases, which is slightly different, there would be a 5 story circular towers with a circular hole in the middle of the round platforms, (think Library, though not as big) with the same type of elevators, only smaller, at each end. The flag is hovering in the center of the hole in the 3rd floor of one of the towers, protected by an energy shield too advanced to be destroyed by either human or covenant weapons. The way to deactivate this shield is to go through all the floors with like 50 people fighting everyone, finally getting to the far part of the fifth floor and activating the panel to deactivate the shield, and it floats down to the entrance where another force of 50 of the same team is waiting to take the flag back to their base that is like the one in the original blood gulch. The difference between the original small base and this one is that this one, on the bottom floor, it has a rocket launcher, a plasma sword, 2 uzis, and ammo for all of them in addition to the original weapons (except for the AR, which as you know now is the battle riffle). On top of it there are turrets (chain gun turrets, machine gun turrets, rocket launcher turrets, and shades), sniper rifles, smgs, and the teleporter. Surrounding this base, in the traditional BG way, are ATV's, all types of warthogs (transportation hogs, chain gun hogs, cannon hogs with the giant bullets, and rocket hogs), ghosts, and scorpions. There are also turret platforms with the same turrets as the small bases right next to where the teleporter comes out, so there are no more vehicles blocking the teleporters, which was as annoying when you were the victim and as fun as it was when you were the one trapping the people. There are five main places for battles, not counting the snipers inside the mutiple caves there are instead of just two, which is another good difference between blood gulch and this map. The first major place for battle is at the middle of the map where oncoming forces from both teams would collide and murder each other. The second would be near the blue base, where red forces that made it through the middle battle would be massacared by the turrets from both the weapon platform by the teleporter and the small blue base. The third would be a battle going on inside the blue tower between the offensive reds and the blue tower defenders, at multiple floors at once. The fourth would be at the same place as the second battle, except near the red base, and the blues are the ones being butchered. The fifth would be in the red tower, just like in the blue tower. Transportation could be accomplished halfway by teleporter, or all the way by the vehicles set at each base. Snipers would always pick off stragelers, and people in the outdoor big battles. This place would be dumb with only a few people, but with lots like you can get with X-Box Live, this place would be the ultimate CTF level ever, also it would probably work out pretty well for slayer too.

Map #2
This one would be a big street with bases at the ends. There would be buildings on the side you could go in, and glass that you can break and snipe through. The bases would be completely destructable, including the armory and garage, which contains uzis, plasma rifles, battle rifles, needlers, rocket launchers, grenades, plasma grenades, plasma pistols, pistols, smg's, sniper rifles, ghosts, banshees, ATV's, all warthogs (types previously mentioned), and scorpions. It would be a CTF and Slayer map, and some of the other buildings besides the bases would be destructable. To add some more fun, let's have it infinite grenades and infinite rockets. Also let's have npc helecopters randomly flying over it so you can blow them up. With all these things, this would be one big bad boom level, not to mention the infinite sniper potential it has. Any map that has big booms, gets destroyed, blows up, supplies targets, and sharpens your sniping skills has my approval, and this one has all of those, booms, bangs, targets, my approval, and sniper skill brush ups. The most fascinating thing of all is that the mod out for pc halo about the big explosions would be on, so that any grenades in the vacinity of a grenade or rocket explosions would blow up too. The other team would be covenant so there isn't too much of a lack of entertainment with all the grunts running around, they might actually be funny, running around screaming the sky is falling around them. All of my levels kick ass, and so does this one.

I would make a big map with lots of very steep hills and trees. It would be big enough for snipers to get on hills and waste people, but the trees as cover and hiding in valleys between hills would give a fighting chance to non-snipers. There would also be "fling traps" on the hills that would propel people into the air like a rocket jump, making them sniper meat. I would also put one Banshee on the highest hill, where non-snipers could try to get to use on snipers, but on the highest hill so snipers could hit them going up. There would be sniper rifles, pistols, and battle rifles, with SMGs and shotguns in the valleys. If not this, I would make an area like a maze with lots of high walls, with grenades and Wraiths to hit opponents over walls and some walls destructable to sneak up on opponents, plus SMGs and shotguns for closs range in the maze.

Mine would be like Blood Glutch and Sidewinder put togeter but have a 5 level squre fort on each side of the map . A Sniper tower on the top of each, rocket turrets on all 4 sides, chain guns (2 on each side), a dense forest in the middle like the 1 on the first bord of Ghost Recon with ditches in the forest so u can take cover , every drive-able,fly-able thing supported, a longer curving space between each fort, no teleporters, every kind of gun in each fort but, each fort has them in diffrent spots, and the best thing of all elevators to take u from level to level (in the fort). You should be able to pick from more colors for teams, have more than 2 teams, and bring marines and convenent into the board.


It should be called one of the following:

1.Halo's Best
2.Twisted
3.Dense Forest
4.Forts
5.Bring It On



or 1 the designers think of.

There should be a D-Day style map. The attackers would start on a beach opposite the invasion beach. The players would have a time limit to select weapons, ammo, grenades, etc. You would then jump on a pelican, which would take off as soon as time ran out to get your weapons and stuff. It would take about 30 sec. to fly to the invasion beach. The pelicans would come standard with warthogs and drop it off then let you out, then go back. THe game would end in waves. Example: you fly over you try to take the beach but you die, you respawn and head on the next wave and try to retake, but maybe a fellow teammate is holding out and making progress, all of you get huddled for cover but a rocket is placed perfectly in the middle of all of you and you all die and respawn back on your own beach, the 3rd wave would be the last chance to take the beach, if you do you win dont you lose. The two vehicles would consist of warthogs and tanks only you have to be alive on the beach to call in the tanks. Defenders would have as long as it takes the invaders, to get ready, then warn them when they are headed for the beach. The defenders would only get two lives and always outnumbered 2 invaders for every 1 defender. Defenders would defend about a 1 mile square area of hell, from trenches to mortar holes and hills of sand. Next they would have to defend there 1 of the 3 bunkers they were in. Bunkers would be loaded though, ammo, guns, cameras, and the mounted machine guns through the bunker slits. If the invaders control all 3 of the bunkers before all of them die three times they win. If defenders hold there ground for three waves then they win. I believe this could be a whole new totally awesome style of multiplayer, just an idea I thought I'd share with you guys.

ARGH! people keep copying my idea!! i thought of the school map on page 10 and so far at least two people (as far as i can tell) have copied it!

btw, whoever it was who said that people think that violent games cause teens to blow up their school... you are stupid. i'll bet a lot of money that you are also american, because that would make a lot of sense. that kind of thing only happens in america, and you know why? BECAUSE EVERYONE THERE HAS THE RIGHT TO OWN A GUN!

It would be a blend of the high tech trench level and blood gulch, with a snowy terrain, because that just looks tight playing there

Ok, this well be good. A Ovel rectangle shaped place just a bit smaller then blood gulth with a creek in the middle knee depth (50m in width) and ground would be all tall greeny yellow grass (waist high)and heaps of trees to take cover from snipers the bases would be inside the cliff edge like in sidewinder to get in you could go up 1 of the 2 ramps in to the second storie (the ramps would look this this: /¯¯\ . or go down a set of stairs in2 the foggy "basement"(like in battle creek) each base glows in the color of the team which owns it (red or blue) and had tables w/ guns on then and windows 2 shoot from. each base had a secret exit that you crawl under a table then in2 the air vent that leads you to a 1 way teleporter that places you on 1 of them triangle platform that vertical on the cliff side and slides 2 the ground with out any wounds

OK first off were the hell did it say there would be Uzis? the only thing that comes close to an uzi is the new smg (sub-machine gun). Could you claify this for me?

Next, i have seen a few videos of Halo 2 at e3 2004 and quite franly Zanzibar (the mp map) looked totally sweet! if that was the only new mp level i would be satisfied. It had a whole new in- depth thing going on with the destructable environment and the moving fan thiny. wow. after seeing those videos i have every confindence that Halo 2's mp maps will totally kick ass.

Now on to my idea....CTF, team slayer, invasion
my idea is a huge ravine very long so sniping the other teams base wouldn't work. In the cliff face of either end is a huge complex surrounding the flag. there are two main holes in the cliff one at ground level with a huge door that is controled by a single switch in a small base standing on its own a little away from the cliff. before i go on i should mention that there is a large bit of ground in front of the bases at either end but in the middle there is a bottomless pit filled with an eriee mist. in the bases the ground floor has all the gound vihicles: ghost warthogs (and variants), scorpians, wriaths, ATVs etc. On the top floor there are all the flying vihcles: banshees, phantoms, pelicans, covie drop ships, and any other flying vihicles. the object would be to use one of the dropships to transport troops and ground attack vihciles across the ravine to attack the enemy base while guarding your own base with various gun enplacements. and using banshees (or human equvilant) to shoot down incoming dropships. all vihicles would be player controled and fully destructable. This level would probably work best on live (32 players i am told) or system link (16 player). theis level would promote team work as they all can't go running off to attack the other teams base and have the other team nick their flag whille they are waiting to respawn.

It would be a large map, like Sidewinder, but with more cover on the ground; such as trees, hills, and boulders. It would have to have great sniping points, bigger and better bases ( with turret guns on either side), and a selection of veichles. ESPECIALLY THE BANSHEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i would have a berrand waste land with gas vents and big sharp rocks, its dark and twice as long as blood gulch. you can hide inside gas vents or behind rocks, there are two floors the top which is the waste land, and a cave underneath, stone stairs on each side of the bases take you under. there is a huge lake in the middle, a bunch of natural stone pillars, and lava pits

Now, my idea for the perfect map: And Iraqi prison, all the prisoners are grunts, and in addition to weapons we get chemical light sticks and broom handles. There's even a digital camera you can pick up and snap pix of your fellow spartans abusing grunts. You can email the pictures to anyone you want via XBOX Live.

...... And you also said that the "school MP map" idea would bring unwanted attention to Halo 2.... is this really any different?



All that aside, I'm just curious, what do you guys think of my map concepts on pages 16, 12, and 1?

These are all great ideas, some a little too imaginative for this generation of games but hey! mayb some day!

I would have to say one thing though about halo2, as much as i believe its goin to b amazing!

I wreckon that the maps will be too big, kind of like the really big one in the pc version, I cant remember wat they called cos i havnt played that in ages! Anyway, they were too big and noone would see anyone for like an hour and then you would see someone and die or kill them instantly, the rest of the time you would b walking around bored -blam!-less or flying goin "woooooooooo" for like a day, never actually seeing anything!

What do you guys think about this?

As for my map....

Have an airfield...(runway)where there are planes (banshees) - i just decided that this wil b on the covenant world, the covenant will have lots of defence weapons...turrets...etc... and the spartans have to infiltrate the place and take over the fort with 3 peopl at once inside the fort.

Make it so that there are 8 entrances, one per person ;), shaped in an X with 2 floors!

A great one would the rotating cylinder in space. You would play inside, the gravity would be the same, but if you look up , you would see people playing. The gap would be too far to snipe. The bases would be on opposite sides. You would need a hog or ghost to get to the other side fast. And yes I know others had mentioned this idea beore! I'm just refining it to my personal ideas.

It would take place on a Covenant ship in outerspace. The Elites would be trying to protect the flag in side their ship and the spartans would be trying to get it and take it back to the ship bay of the ship were spartans spawn. It would be alot like the Truth and Reconciliation except this ships anti-gravity has been mail functioning so some rooms would have no gravity or have gravity on the cieling. There would be no vehicles but would have turrets.

I think it would be cool if there was a multiplayer scenario the is basically like the assault CTF, but instead of a flag you need sneak in to plant a HAVOC tactical nuke in the enemy base then you get about 10 minutes or so to steal a warthog (or some other vehicle) and get out of the blast radius. Also, the defense team can deactivate it, but it takes time,and it is hard to get to, because it is in a reactor core type thing.

I would make a level in a massive ship with artificial gravity as strong as that on earth. The level would have one team fighting to take over the control room and another team fighting to defend it. Here's the best part, players would be able to walk on the outside of the ship at a lower gravity than on the inside. The control room would have about three entrances. One through a tunnel from the outside of the ship, one from a tunnel connecting it to the cabin, and another from some engineer's headquarters or something. Each of the tunnels I mention would not be straight and they would have a network of various tunnels leaving and joining into them.
