I'd make my map like the 2nd level of Halo where you have to save the marines and the dropship picks them up but with turrets, banshees, wraith tanks, scorpions, ghosts, and of course WARTHOGS!!

You're Crazy, People like Playing.. not Dying, respawning... Then running 1000 miles again only to be shot and killed.... To RInse and repeat.. Continuously.. Then the brave few who make it past said turrets and the like get into the enemy base to be gunned down by those lying in wait... You Are CRAZY

i think somthing with the basic design of hang em high added with a little more hieght and width but with a more intereactive ground floor, and like towers and such....i feel hang em high is basically on of the best maps foryour and a couple a freinds and a map with its basic design would be great,,,

I would have a basic plain with sniper towers at all four sides and bases full of all kinds of ammunition. I would have trenches on the plain. I would have turrets littered all around the trench lines and snipe bases. i would have underground tunnels that lead to a centre chamber full of ammo that leads of to all four of the sniper bases. i would have mountains surrounding the plain with passages into and on it so you can snipe from there as well.

man i think it would be cool to have these 2 huge castles with stairs leading to sniper pits and around the castle there would be a wall with turrets god that would be nice for sniper pros eh?

my ideal map would be;
like blood gulch except i would take out the teleporters from where they are and put them in hiding spots so.....if you fire a sniper round at someone and they know where you are you can teleport to another hiding place and have another go. also there should be trenches with turrets in them with a bridge going over the trench that is just wide enough for 1 tank to get through. therefore if you control the bridge you stop the enemy in ctf from making a quick gettaway in a vehicle. also if you are not smart you can go into the turret and get you're head blown off. sounds like fun. see ya.

Definately something like blood gultch. But a different layout...like a "S" shape with tunnels through walls. All vehicles allowed. Plenty of ledges and dead-end ledges (like the snipers ledge in Halo Blood Gultch). Only a couple of tunnels big enough for the Warthog and a couple for the ghost/atv. No tunnels big enough for the tank/wraith. Oh yeah, DEFINATELY have the ability to pilot the Wraith Mortar Tank. The banshee would have the ability to fly up above the canyon walls but also both bases have one/two gun turrets for defense or maybe a rocket turret like on the warthog in the screen pics of Halo 2. Only three warthogs in the level, 4 ghosts, one tank, one wraith, 2 banshees, 2 atvs. Thats it for that level. I know there's more to add but I just got another idea for a different level.

A large hilly CTF map. Just like those that most of us are use to in TRIBES. Plenty of Vehicles, Mountain passes, sniping spots. Two big three level bases with turrets. The whole map would be in a large hexagon shape for the boundries. Hills would make up most the map with a river running through the middle and small creeks/tributaries all over the place. Concrete bunkers spread about for armored positions but haven't decided wether or not they would have turrets of any kind. A couple of bridges for a quick cross over the river but also other ways over such as tunnels or a damn or shallow spots (sandbars or somthing). The one vehicles I would LOVE to see in this kind of level would be like a Pelican or a Phantom(or other kind of Covenant drop ship) that the players could actually fly. Players would need the ability to fire from the vehicles by means of a turret of some kind or even their own personal weapons. Oh so many more ideas but no time to put them down. Please leave me your thoughts on the two maps.

probaly somthin lik blood gulch but with ramps lik the level maw ;) so u can jump of the ramps or try 2 shake some one of ur tail oh and it has 2 be a huge level

I'd make a map with the same type of contours as bloodgulch but bigger like sidwinder and have many more opportunities for sniping and close combat like a wide open aread surrounded by caves and such. and two huge bases at either end of the map. so it's good for ctf.

What about a level that is completely in outer space. There are two bases on opposing corners but not in 2D, think 3D. Therefore one base is way up and one below. No turrets or vehicles but rather asteriod platforms that are used to jump from one to another. This would all be topped off with a 3 bottlenecks in the middle of the map. This encourages the increase of confrontations and hieghtens the carnage level.

Scince this was an mp game I made up, I might as well put it here.



In this there are no vehicles since my last one got bad complaints about that. It starts at a rainy swamp.(oh and this game is where it's like a campain game, so everyone is on eachother's team) it can have 30 people. you start out at an UNGC's (I made that up since this is not space command, it's global comand. United Nations Global Command. Don't worry they are still part of the united nations.) base, you get all the weapons you want, whether it be sniper or rocket launcher, Battle rifle or smg, what ever you want. After that you report to a captain and he gives you information on your mission.He braks you up into teams based on your equipment. Snipers get dropped off at a guard site in between the destination and the base. Rocketeres and machine gunners are the people who go to infiltrate the city the covenant have taken control of. So now that you know that, I'll tell you the mission. A city has been taken over by the covenant, you must recover it. The covenant have placed turrets all over the city, after the dam broke in 2195 this city has become a giant swamp. There is a gateway that leads to the city. Snipers, after you see the foot spartans go through your area follow them, guard their backs, warn them of anemies, or anything that can help them out. Foot Spartans, go through here, he shows a map with a highlighted area and trail leading to it. Now, the covenant are acting real strange here, they are strangely interested in this place. they are building some sort of landing structure, and a communications tower. Find out what it is, and if it is a threat, destroy it with these nuclear grenades. They all take the grenade then leave and get to where instructive. You, the sniper, here a transmision from the foot Spartans. "spartans moving, keep a look out." You say "roger"
The spartans on ground keep going through the woods, one says "man, the map made me think this was going to be easy, but this trail sure is lo-" he stops, along with others he stares at the river in front of them. "this wasn't on the map!" the guy says. "yes it was, it was the long line, besides it's no big deal." they go in the water and walk through the river. Along here they found some covenant records. "I wonder what this says? hmmmmmm, oh well, we'll translate it when we get to the town." He holds it in his left hand. They get out of the water.

You can't help staring at the water, there is some wierd green glow, and then you see 15 spartans come out of the river. "We see you, now move northeast of your position to get to the gate." you say on the COM. "Roger" you hear. You bother to look at the base on 10x and see hundeds of covenant engineers building the landing structure. You wonder why they would bother making one since they usually land on the ground. You put that thought away and snipe an elite hiding in the bushes. "thanks" you here on the com as grunts run away in fear. The spartans on ground took them out with a roket. "what a waste of ammo." one guy said. "I think he spat at me. What else should i do?" You laugh, it's this that makes you not retire from the job.
They've entered the city now. The snipers follow up to the gate, switch theiir weapons, and get alongside of the other spartans. They move up toward a building they check around it. "clear." You say.You move toward the communications tower. You and the team enter. You all slowy move across the walls. You see no one. You all go up into a room and stop. You see about 25 brutes. The team leader breathes and says "Go! Go! Go!" you take out your sniper rifle and guard the leader. The lead takes out 2 smgs . triggers them knowing he'll hit any of them. One guy takes out his rocket and shoots at a runing Brute, he should've used target traking. The rocket misses and hits a fusion core. the fusion core blows up and kills the remaining brutes and damages some spartans. "Ok let's identify these notes we found inside the river." the leader says. He takes them out and inserts them into the core. From knowledge of some covenant technology he finds the translation option. he reads through. Even though you couldn't see his face you can tell he's frightened. "OH MY GOD! They got into contact with the Forerunner?!?"
"It says they got in contact with the forerunner and they are coming to settle this war!"
They all stand shock knowing they are all doomed. "We can stop them all we need to do i-" The whole room shakes. They hear a ship. They run outside. It's still raining, They see the biggest ship they've ever seen docking in the landing building. they all hurry up into the building. They walk through and see an even bigger docking area. There are so many covenant inside. The whole covenant population is. "Get ready for the biggest fight of history, GO!" They all take out rockets or throw grenades if they don't have any, they take out alot and then realize what could make them win. They have no weapons. They all go all out taking out many covenant. "Wait!" your leader says. "Maybe the forerunner is on our side?" The door to the ship opens. The obvious leader of the Forerunner comes out.He talks a little but you can tell he speaks english. "I knew they were From earth!" one guy says. The Forerunner leader comes up to the covenant and says. "We are here to say we join you the covenant on the quest to destroy all of humanity. To Show our loyalty we shall tell you a great weakness. This ship has no armor and carries all of our people. This ship is very unsafe, but we trust you." The spartans get out of the building. real happy and mad. Happy we know their weakness. Mad they joined the covenant. they knew what to do. what would end the war. The leader took out hisrocket launcher, fired it and they dropped everything and sprinted out. The ship blew up. The war was over. It's kind of funny how but, at least it's over.

Frankly, they should have a big Earth City where you can go upstairs in skyscrapers and snipe out the windows or drive a tanke grrrande on the highway or streets. Urbanize the map. Make it more difficult, more strategy, and more funner. Ya' know. Halo 2 better have content download so you can actually make a urban map and then download it. I don't care if it takes a full hour to download a gigantic urban map as long as I get it.

the perfect map is like d-day. one team charges across a beach or similar setting (forrests an cities are the cool) finding cover along the way. snipers can crouch behind rocks and stuff and pop the guys on the guns pinning the assulters. they have to get into trenches and burn the crap out of the bunkers and gunners defending the beachhead. lob in a nade, then shotgun the rest out. but not just that. every few seconds artillary pounds into the beach attackers, blowing the crap out of then as they run forward. then when they have taken the beach, tanks com in fo them to use (there is like a forrest that the defenders retreat to or something) and they advance after the rallying defenders. but they also get reinforcements and so you have tonnes of scorpions pounding the crap out of each other. the respawn point moves up with each stage of the level until the attackers reach a flag and get it to the beachin less than 20 mins of something. this map has everything. slaughter, tanks'n'warthogs, sniper postitions along the beach, LAAGs, cover, forrest, close quarters, everything.

anyway, that is my perfect map. lots of killing!!!!!!

i had another idea.

urban warfare, with buildings you can go into.

at the start, all the buildings are complete and unharmed. but you can damage them.

rockets make holes, nades shatter windows and blacken walls, scorpions make rubble.
then you can hide behind walls and under rubble, cover the streets and stuff like that.

and there is a special marker gun, sort of. wat it does is when you shoot it at something, a squad of bombers fly in and level it with their bombs.
this is ideal for buildings that snipers are hiding in. the unsuspecting -blam!- uddenly get ht with a payload of bombs and are blown out of this world. but the squard has to get more bombs and so you can only use the marker every 5 mins or something.

then there is a factory with scorpions, rockets, pelecans (but you can't pilot them cause they are out of fuel :) ) and warthogs (and mabye those new atvs. they look fun). then you can ride out into the streets and blow up some people or buildings.

then, some of the building windows have turrets on them so you can clean the streets. this isn't the most ideal CTF map though, cause there isn't realy any substantial "base", so this is more of a slayer map, or objective based map. sort of like those new maps in the Cll of Duty 3rd patch. i think its called neuville, but i'm probably wrong (it came with neuville though, i know that).

but the best maps are ones in ww2 games, with trenches, buildings, plains, cities, bunker, beaches, all that stuff

something like side winder. lots aof vehices nice and open. more streight and woods terrain...lots of hills and trees. paths for wart hogs and..tanks..HEHE mabye some kind of flying vehicles that could scout the woods. nite time/dusk mission 2 bases on both sides of the map..big map 16/16 type...thats would be my kind of map

I would make it sort of like Hang 'em High, with more space and tombstones, but take away the big bases and tunnels. Have one huge fort, sort of like a tower with a snipering perch on top.

The perfect map would be inside one of the Covenant Cruisers. It would have to go as far as the entrance, to the control center. You could add in some a.i. enemies like grunts, jackals, and Hunters. Lots of turrets and energy shields, and a couple of Banshees that you can pick up in the shuttle bay. There would be a supply room (secret), full of overshields, camoflauge, and all of the Covenant weaponry. That's the ultimate multiplayer map.

the perfect map is a BIG city of office buildings with sniper nests in high a bove windows and bunkers on the street
u can drive any vehicle in the game and everything is destructible so u can completely destroy a building if u have enough firepower making even buildings death traps
this is truly the best map

How about something like a big pyramid, with many different levels accessible by ramps or elevators (stairs suck...)? The main elevator would be smack dab in the center of the pyramid, with a glowing, purple, Covenant-esque grav field that operates it. There would be several smaller elevators located throughout the arena, but the central one is the only one that goes to the top (unless you take ramps), and goes only to the top (or bottom). It would be very fast, and can be accessed by the middle levels (so you can snipe unsuspecting riders), but you'd have to jump down to it to hop on... the elevator won't stop inbetween the bottom and top levels. The top level would house all the high-explosive weapons.
