Ive played the faith map for halo ce w/ the destructible turrets and barricades, and i was thinking, why not make entire bases destructible it could have one team offense and one defense as the offfnse tries to destroy the base and get the flag and the other defends. there could be panels or something that could allow you to rebulid bases or fortify them. it would really put a twist on how people use cover.

Have a mult. map in which the setting is a desperate battle against the others have reinstituted vehicles, like old tanks and models of guns, and even civilian vehicles modified

i think you should make a map that deals with trench warfare, so it somewhat resembles what it was like in world warII. Just spiff it up and make it look futureistic. You should also make 2 bases on a on seperate hills overlooking one another and have a valley in the middle. The only way to t=get to the other base would be to go down the center of the valley to the other base.


Ummmmmm...treanch warfare was world war I. But I really like the idea of a map that is basically like the game Iron Storm (I've never played it, but i've heard about it), where it combines basically all recent types of warefare (trench, tanks, helicopters, stealth (like splinter cell)).

I would make a big building with many floors, and rooms the size of the ones in the Library, with high ceilings. Everything would be highly destructable, including the floors. If someone was closing on you, you could shoot the floor and fall through to escape. There would also be Banshees in the rooms, so you could shoot the floor, shoot the floor below you as you fell, and grab a Banshee to escape through the second hole. It would be a modified CTF, where flags could be destroyed by gunfire or knocked off the building, and you would have to get all the remaining flags to win. All the flags would be placed by open windows, and would take a few seconds to pick up, so you could sneak up and knock people out the windows before they could get the flags. There would be Banshees hovering outside that people hit this way could jump into to break their falls. Also, since the flags could be destroyed, you could get one flag and blow up all the other flags you saw to win. And everything would be destructable, so eventually so many floors would be gone that you could fly a Banshee through the entire structure, and would have to get to the floors with the remaining flags.

I dunno... all of the maps have waalls on the outside, making it possible to climb them and get outside of the map. I'd prefer to have one that's like an island, with the high part in the center, a trench like area around it, and a slightly lower level surrounding it, making it look like, I dunno, a donut. Plus, I think it would be cool to have bunkers, where you could fire from and hide and what not. ANd just to give people hope, a small stand of trees and a nice, open tower, nice and tall, right in the center. Heh heh. Having the high ground doesn't seem like quite the advantage anymore.

What I would do is have the battle field in the air and on the ground. The two bases would be a long ways away on the walls up in the air, distance in blood gulch would be perfect, and have a few banshees on each base and some tanks on the ground. There would also be sniper spots on platforms hovering around that can be accessed by some teleporters. The best weapon in this would be sniper and maybe a shotgun for going through teleprters for those unexpected enemies. Also a good big maze would be quite nice.......

I just wanted to know all you guys' ideas for cool multiplayer maps...So if you could create your own multiplayer map...What would it be? After I see some peoples ideas I will post my own.

(I don't know if this has already been said or not b/c I'm too lazy to read the whole thread..) But anyway here's my idea... The best MP map would be like a Sidewinder map only w/ a jungle setting. I'm talking catwalks and ladders but still w/ bases like sidewinder, maybe a little modified but the same general idea(Set up higher maybe w/ another floor), and as mentioned in an earlier post destructable trees and the sort. And of course.. you can't have a map this big w/o vehicles, but flying vehicles would be sort of pointless, unless for getting from one base to the other. Well thats my bit.

If you guys have Halo for PC, I have it for Mac so I suck XD.
Well as I said, if you have Halo for PC, go to [link deleted] and download sparkedit and learn from some of the masters there to modify and make your own maps.

Attack on the Control Room is also available as a multiplayer level there as long as you have ppf applying tools as such.

And remember to download some other mods there.

Of course the mac version has a non modding thing on it so you need HMT to somehow hack through it to do your own mods, but normals can be applied easily.

I just thought of a cool idea. Remember that big pyrmid at the end of asualt on the control room. Well have a snow map like that level with the pyrmid as a base on both ends. Have a tunnle on the sides of the clif with bridges that croses over from one side to the other just like asualt on the control room/two betrayles level.

I haven't read ALL of the ideas here, so I can't say for sure that someone else has said this, but I would like to see a real "boarding action" level. You take the pillar of autumn(or part of it.) and the 7ruth and Reconcilia7ion(or part of it) and each team begins on a ship, they can then either man turrets or weapons console on thier respective ships or jump in a vehicle and head over. The objective being to board the other teams ship and take over both engineering and the bridge. (People with real cahones could just run jump out of an airlock and try to land on the other ship as well.)

I have a pretty good one I think. There's one base on a planet, and another on a Covenant starship (for the Elites) orbitting the planet. The starship would have planetary guns to fire at the opposition, and the Earth troopers/SPARTANS would have anti-interplanetary implacements capable of firing at the ship. You could either teleport to the ship, or you could get into a Pelican/Longsword/Whatever other flying vehics wil be in H2, and fly up to the ship. Flags at both ends. Maybe even modified sniper rifles so when some -blam!- gts into one of the big cannons, you give him a facial. What do you guys think?

Tribes 2 had some pretty killer maps , One that i liked was a map where the generators of each base had to be destroyed before the force feild would expose the opposing teams flag.

Another multiplayer map which was a mod, was a training level map where teammates could practice , sniping with thrown dummies, racing some way out tracks, and feilds for some fragfest fun,

I thought of another one: a huge swamp. Deep creeks, flooded terrain, cypress trees, and bamboo would be a few of the things found. The vehicles would include 4-wheelers. Anything else would just end up getting stuck in places, and that would stink. There would be two bases: one on the top of a hill, and another out in the middle of the swamp. It'd be really difficult to sneak around people, because you'd constanlty be moving through mud and water which would provide easy audio clues as to your position. The trees would be a pretty good source of cover, as would fallen logs, until they got blown up by rockets. Also, patches of bamboo would be good places to sit and ambush, but provide awful cover since bullets could waste them really easily. There would be a few sniper posts up in some of the trees. It'd be really hard to spot snipers, because the leaves of the trees would be thick. Also, the weather would be really rainy, and there would be a thick layer of fog. The flag on the top of the hill would be set up in a small bunker, and the flag at the bottom of the hill would be stuck in a small pile of mud. The overall shape of the map would be a diamond, with teleporters at either base to send troops to the side corners, a la Blood Gulch.

i would have a well good forestey map wit mountains wit sniper points. and some underground tunnels!!!this would be well good for xbox live and lots of players

Give me a flourishing forest and/or jungle level with all the fixins' (hidden nooks, streams, etc) and a beach level with a morning glisten, and i'm happy. Oh, and throwing in a plains or high grass board for good measures couldn't hurt. While I enjoy 90% of Halo's maps, i tend to find myself leaning toward the ones with a more natural setting i.e; blood gulch, battle creek, etc (with the obvious exception of Hang Em High).

Ho ho HO! i would have to go with something like a big open area curving to the left like an "L" with lots of water on the sides. no wait...an island! yeah! and it could have rock outcroppings poking out from the center but large enough gaps to get warthogs and Tanks through. and some high cliffs bordering the side. maybe some bridges to snipe from and some old and rusted instalations dripping with toxic goo just to give it that "all alone" feeling. maybe some sparks flying out from panels from the sides and...uh...oh! some thick forests(i mean not EVERYWHERE, just some for that "manhutn'" feelin'. *phew* ok i'm out of ideas....or am i? no im done.

i think a cool one would be based on truth and reconcillion with a grav lift the ship for elites and spartans get ground --- with turret lined aaround grav lift for extra support
