Anyone notice the parallels?

Prophet slowly imparts himself, his body(nanosuit) and throughout the game imparts his memories into alcatraz. Prohpet eventually dies but at the end alcatraz for all purposes becomes prophet, as prophets mind and soul were pretty much transferred to the nanosuit when he wore it (revealing to us the secret of the nanosuit).

Similarly in cryptum, didact imparts his body onto bornstellar through the mutation. Throughout the book didacts memories are imparted to born, until at the end, didact dies and for all purposes, bornstellar is didact.

Interesting. So essentially one of the major plot points in Crysis 2 who was written by a guy who bashed halos story was done in Halo before they did it.

I believe Crysis 2 has been in development longer than Cryptum. Crysis 2 has been in development since the launch of Crysis in Autumn 2007.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Crysis 2 - Fight to save New York!

Halo 2 - Fight to save New Mombasa!

Coincidence?

Crysis 2 is very unoriginal.

Cryptums backstory is written by Bungie during 2001 like the rest of the Haloverse.

The chances of it being fleshed out to the detail greg bear had in 2001: almost zero.

However stuff from as early as 2003 has been hinting at things in Cryptum.
