I want to a question. Is Religion still significant to humans in the halo universe? From reading the books, playing the games and watching videos i have seen little evidence of its exsistence. Can someone help me out here?

I'm pretty sure each individual had their different beliefs. You do know that there are several biblical references in the Halo Universe right?

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Dr Halsey makes a point of proclaiming to be an atheist, which means that their are still people who do believe in God.

Johnson went to a Baptist (I believe it was) Church when he was a boy, and as far as I know he's still religious to some degree. And I know Dutch is a Christian, I can't say what other religions are still around or what new ones have come about, but Christianity at least is still around in Halo.

Ya, sometimes I think the storyline of Halo is practically based on the bible, although I doubt there were was an alien juggernaut called the covenant( or there might have been but I never read the bible). I just think that after millions of humans have been killed peoples faith in a god of any form would be diminished

It wasn't exactly an alien juggernaut. In the Bible, the Covenant was something that stored the Ten Commandments. You should read this thread. It connects the biblical references with Halo. It's a good read, although very long.

this too

If you read this page and that thread, you start to get the impression Halo's a science fiction version of the Bible. Really interesting.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Yes, but I can list who is and who isn't. I know Johnson and Halsey weren't religious.

Religion has likely diminished in the twenty-five hundreds. Halsey is an atheist, and none of the other UNSC personnel are mentioned as being religious other than Dutch and Johnson. The UEG (United Earth Government) is supposed to represent a secular, innovative society and the Covenant is supposed to represent the imitative theocratic regime.

Jesus loves you! But I think you're a -blam!-

You don't have to be religious to believe in God. http://www.freewebs.com/halomeetshalo/mc.htm That will make ya think :P

You're right about Halsey, she's an Atheist, but you are misinformed about Johnson however.

Matt - Like a G Pix, like a, like a G Pix....

I think it has religion in it. But, that is for Bungie to say alone.
