Not sure if this has been thought of before (i certainly don't remember it). But i was just thinking how a signature preview might be a pretty neat feature. Just so you can quickly see what your signature will turn out like.

Feedback is appreicated.

That would be really helpful. Just incase you mess up the the url on something, or a pattern is lopsided.

What would also be handy if there was more chars that you could use. 1000 would do, but about 14 lines.

Yes.

I always test mine out in my groups before posting. Altough it would be very helpful...

And having more chars to work with would be great.

That would be nice. It would speed up the process.

I'm not that active, but never dead.

I would like the option to turn off signatures.

I really don't enjoy seeing everyones little witty comments or false statisics combined with the latest ASCII art.

I really don't want to see the signatures.

Here's a crazy idea.

Go into a forum. Any forum will do. Type out your signature. Click "Preview". If there are markup tag mistakes, change them and preview again. When you get it right, select the text in the "Body" text box, click on "Cancel", then paste it into the Signature box in your settings.

Tada!

I'd rather see a spell checker.

Says the guy that subjects everyone else to a five line signature with such remarks as "Yea, people I'm the Crazy Canadian" and "The 'Preview Button' is your friend."

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

Maybe it should be done to where you have to preview it first.

Wad he being hypocritical or sarcastic though?

Reig, goweb's right. Waaay to easy to do that. But anyway, it would be nice to have it in the same place as the signature settings.

People are too lazy to do that.

I've suggested being able to view people's sigs in their profiles. That would help problems such as these as well.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

It's got promise, and it seems like a neat and useful little way to help arange signature set-ups. But I don't think it will happen, more or less unfortunately. Perhaps someone might do it during whatever "free time" they'll get?

  • 01.09.2006 8:46 PM PDT

I'll be on my own side.

Seems unnecessary. Just read Reigi's post.

If it were to be done, it would be one of things where it's like "Well, I finished updating the site, but now I'm bored. Ah well, might as well put it in."

Yeah, i'd have to agree with that. That's why i didn't put it in the feedback tread. It would certianly be a 'novalty' feature.
