I am alpha, i am omega.

I am the last of the primes.

Thats how many ships Mendicant Bias had at LEAST IN HIS FLEET (s)?

And thats not counting the good forerunner ships...

I always thought the forerunners had between 30,000-90,000 ships.Could you imagine how bad the covies and unsc would lose against the Mendicant Bias, let alone if he was still good and with other forerunner fleets...
Forerunners are powerful as hell.

Try the Quarentine Fleet around the two Prophet homeworlds, which is described by Bornstellar to be so thick the ammount of ships created a literal bubble around two planets, saying Trillions of automated guard ships kept the Prophets in.

Millions is nothing to them.

An assassin will always carry on, even after death.

The Forerunners had tens of thousands of years to create their fleet. So, if they built 1000 ships every year for 30000 years, that's a lot of ships, all in good quality after 10000 years due to their technology.

They probably made millions of ships every year.
An estimate to the total number... 1.5 quadrillion.

This figure could actually be near the correct amount. If one planet had trillions of ships in orbit to keep the population at bay, and the forerunners had conquered several hundred alien species, then(even if no other planet was swarmed as much as the San Shyumn one) there would be a lot of ships. Possible over a quadrillion.

In Cryptum didn't it say that the Forerunners had 300 million planets? Or was it 30 million. Kind of a big difference, but either way with that many planets, and each one having a population of millions (an assumption, not fact) it wouldn't be hard for them to create that huge of a force. Mendicant's force was probably a small chunk of the Forerunner force. Though it was big enough to do the damage it did.

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

They had a massive empire, too large to really comprehend.

Debatable since it seems they confined themselves to the orion arm for the most part.

And Medicant Bias had alot of civillian and passanger ships in his fleet. only a very very small percentage were actually military grade vessels.

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

Like people have already said an empire that spans 300 million planets would require hundreds of millions of space faring vessels to facilitate travel and trade.

It was 300 million.

3 million.

"Only" ~80'000 thousand of those vessels were warships, with ~2'000 of that number being capital ships. The vast majority of Mendicant's fleet were light tonnage civilian and commercial craft.

Offensive had roughly 10'000 in his fleet. Not sure if they were all warship class or not.

Then there is all the vessels lost in the Flood war too.
