Subject: How is the population for H2 V?

I'm pointing at the emu of elf excretion.

'Cause I never got to experience H2 on Xbox, I've been meaning to get it for pc so I can try it out. Is the population large enough to warrant such a thing or should I just stick to LAN and play with my 3 friends?

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Population usually hovers around 50 people online at any given time. It's pretty lifeless.

Sorry, Ben. No lying to potential suckers this time.

Halo Reach PC über alles!

Well if you want H2X, there does exist XLink. but then again, it too is a small community.

Troll.

But anyways, you'll be able to find at least 5+ good packed servers at any point in time. Don't know why people fuss about population all the time. Never is a problem

I got on today. It was still dead. Only 30-40 people on. It's deader then it used to be.

A Halo 2 PC server holds 16 people. 16 x 5 = 80. That's 30 people above the daily average peak for H2V. Once again, Ben lies about H2Vs population. Bravo.

  • 04.07.2011 1:18 AM PDT

Last time I checked, there were only 2-3 populated servers, and 0 full.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Either it's a lie or we're all seeing different things in the "Live Game Browser", but I'm inclined to go with the former.

Same. I see the same stuff as everyone else, and H2V is dying. People move to other games, and get 360s, while it's harder for n00bs to pirate.

The only good thing about piracy is it keeps old games from dying.

Halo 3

Well maybe if the Halo 1&2 PC forum-goers would stop harassing the newcomers who ask simple questions about H2V, then the population would stabilize at 100 players. Everyone that passes by is given crap from the Halo CE fans. It's really the only thing that happens in this empty forum.

Hold up, lemme fix that.

Ah, ok, here we go:

Well maybe if the Halo 1&2 PC forum-goers would stop telling the newcomers who ask simple questions about H2V the actual answers instead of letting me lie to them, then the population would reach 100 players for a little bit before they realize the game sucks. Everyone that passes by is given the truth from the Halo CE fans, and despite my best efforts, I can't lie about the game to sucker them into a disappointing $20 purchase. It's really the only thing that happens in this empty forum.

It's fun watching people troll, isn't it?

  • 04.07.2011 4:14 PM PDT

I just wish people would stop fighting... this is causing the death of this forum.

The new members are constantly being harassed by the seniors just because they enjoy halo 2 vista. Although I totally agree that halo 1 pc is superior than H2V, the whole purpose of gaming is entertainment; if that is what H2V delivers to people, then let it be.

Also, can we speak English here? There are far more intelligent words and phrases than just "troll".

Halo 3

Your general message to this board is QFT.

"Troll" is just a culmination of many descriptions. It's easier to type one word, if you know what I mean :p

Hmm... yes i see what you mean. I'm saying this from a pacifist point of view: if you contributed to arguments instead of automatically accusing the ignorant of being trolls, perhaps the fighting would minimize, and hence peace.

Know what i mean?

Halo 3

Dusk likes to push my buttons, and really everyone else who thinks otherwise. A recent passerby showed me some light and gave me some funny links to "troll" descriptions. I thought it was funny and I thought I'd just post the word if he or someone else continued to flame. We've had threads full of discussion and I realized he wouldn't stop pestering until I called it quits. So in stead of replying to his typical mocking posts, I thought it would be simple enough to just label it as "troll".

Attention Bungie, Thanks for 20 years of EPICNESS and 10 years of HALO!

Yes the community is small, but the small number makes it much like a family. Right now there are about 4 or 5 main groups of people that play. Ex. Monstrmoose: http://www.monstrmoose.com/index.php
Killers of Death: http://www.killersofdeath.com/

New members are always welcome

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Ben and others, if you enjoy H2v, then relax and enjoy it. Nobody is trying to troll you, they are just frustrated that they game sucked so badly when it shouldn't have. Dusk, chill a bit, I don't want to see you get banned, even if most of us agree with you.

Ya know, my posts would probably be a lot shorter and less negative if Ben was willing to be honest. Oh, and if he knew his place and wasn't so pretentious.

I personally don't want to see the population increase. The Windows port of Halo 2 was born from pure, evil greed was meant only to trick hapless Xbox gamers shelling out for Vista. Certain Bungie staff who I've asked about the port won't even admit to being involved with it. And then of course there are certain people who will falsify numbers due to lack of interest in other people's welfare...

If Halo 2 Vista is abandoned completly, then the chances of a Halo 3 PC (although already very low) will be made defunct.

I understand what you mean, but wasnt everything Microsoft made, made for pure money? Although we cant blame Microsoft entirely for the death of halo on PC; if Bungie didn't sell their souls out to M$, then all halos would be on Mac and Windows.

And now Bungie are with Activision, I hope they make the right choices...
