Subject: Which STORY is better? Reach or ODST?

ODST: Two stories in one. It actually gave a decent portrayal of what life was like back on Earth and how people coped with the invasion of the covenant. It wasn't always run in shoot and you know you're gonna win; it was more of just surviving another day. Reach on the other hand had the exact same potential. It's probably what would happen if Halo 3 and ODST joined together. It failed in so many levels: characters were bland and uninteresting (with the exception to Jorge in my opinion), introduction of the covenant was poor, and focus on multiplayer. Because years later when people stop playing this they aren't exactly going to remember it for the engaging story.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

The Tyrant

ODST. Not only did the story seem to flow a LOT better, but it was also able to allow me to feel connected to the characters. Bungie did an excellent job personalizing them.

I still hate Mr. Buck Futters...

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

It's funny, you say they focused primarily on multiplayer and even that didn't come out good.. heh.

Believe me, I know. I think Halo 2/3 had the best multiplayer. I mean, Armor Lock? A kick in the face to all the veteran Halo players. They made the multiplayer way more n00b friendly.
