as you all know things change throughout the new halo games being released wether for the better or for the worse. no doubt you all miss something from previous halo games like multiplayer maps, weapons, vehicles, character designs....
i miss the m6c pistol from halo 2, it was so fun to use because of its low recoil - especially when you dual wield it! halo C.E and ODST had decent pistols but i felt halo 2's pistol was the way a pistol was meant to be: a simple close range side arm to switch to when your ar, sr, shotgun or rocket launcher ran out of ammo and while didnt have time to reload or you spotted an enemy at close range
i'd also love the needler to be less powerful and dual wieldable again. i hated halo 3 and reaches needler because i felt it was too powerful considering its quick reload time, insanely high speed the needles traveled towards the enemy and its high ROF. only thing i liked about reaches needler was its improved design by making the needles long again (i thought the needler looked stupid in halo 3 and ODST because the needles where too short)
halo C.E's assault rifle was the only ar i felt that 'got the job done'. i didnt like halo 3's ar as much because of its terrible design, lower damage, lower ROF and less range, i think it should also have sounded like how the halo C.E's ar sounded when you shoot with it - LOUD and intimidating. though reach has the worst ar bungie has had to offer so far - only good thing i can think about it was its improved design (i like how it has a yellow line painted near the blue sreen). not sure about you guys/girls but i found it IMPOSSIBLE to kill an elite on legendary with the ar, even killing a grunt uses a considerable amount of bullets considering it only has 32 bullets a clip.
halo 2 had the only decent brutes in the series to me - there name actually matched there appearance and behaviour. the fact that all brutes have shaved of all the fur after halo 2 (except for a small mohawk) and now wear armour ruins there savage nature. i missed how a brute carelessly throws away his weapon when he berserks and charges at you like a wild ape while growling, when he finally gets his hands on you he aggressively kicks, bites and punches you and there was minimum chance of escape (unless you play it on easy/normal) - it was so thrilling and terrifying!
in halo 3, ODST and reach when they berserk theres always a 4 second delay when the hold out there arms and growl (giving you a chance to get behind and melee) they dont run at you as fast as they did in halo 2 so they rarely ever catch up to you giving you more time to kill them. even if they did manage to catch up to you they just hit you once and there is another delay when they stare at you (giving you another chance to get behind and melee)
hated the new brute vehicles/weapons in halo 3: spiker, mauler, prowler and chopper) wish bungie never put them in the game. i liked the spike grenade though
well these are some of the things i miss from previous halo games and would love to see brought back in a new halo game, what did you think of my views?
please share with me anything you miss and would like to be brought back, i'm curious to know =)
