So on the Xbox Live Game Marketplace they have listings of all the games, some you can download, all of them have trailers for the game your looking at, they have halo ce, halo3, ODST, Reach, Halo Wars, but nothing on Halo 2 at all. Why is this?

The Human race is the parasite of the Earth. The galaxy is the host of the Earth. The universe is the parasite of something much grander...

i would like to see it as a Game on demand original. but they would of course have to scrap the dead online portion, but other wise Im fine with that, and there should be a price drop im not really interested in purchasing the same game from a decade ago for $15.00 I would pay $10.00 max

MS dumped the Xbox 1. Just like how most companies dump old consoles.

A halo 2 on demand game with online multiplayer would make my whole gaming life.

Matchmaking especially with the same ranks!

Halo 2 for Life!

Since almost all of its customers were at some point a halo 2 fan I'm very surprised in how they have gone about their business in relation to halo 2 being online.

lol. Fancy talk, that makes quite a bit of sense but yet doesn't make sense to them for some reason. Plus bungie would benefit not just microsoft which makes this a even bigger case of letdown I've seen in a while (since Madden took exclusive rights from 2k after 2k won the best simulation sports game of the year, it rivals that sort of letdown, a collapse of a simulation football industry).

Let's hope they think more and stop hurting what their fans like.

I'm not saying their ignoring it (actually sort of) but they are interpreting people incorrectly, what they want conflicts with what is already present and would ruin what made something so good they would press on and ruin it anyways.

I.e. the utility belt in halo3, laser, terrible vehicles, flame thrower, br without any aim assist in a lagy game.

In reach the armor ability, slow recoil times, terrible vehicles. Both H3 and Hreach were slowed down to a snail's pace to adapt to no assist conditions.

It was a sham and a thrown together mess, with more time spent on armor permutations, forge, and theater than actual core, frame, bones, of why things in halo 2worked, why button combos worked, why it flowed and was smooth and wasn't constricted by lag. It's just constant bull to me.

Listen to people in the wrong way you get a terrible result i.e. H3, ODST, and Hreach. Don't blame it on the customer and what they requested blame it on the inability to put things together in a way that wouldn't ruin the best base in history for online play halo 2.

I could spout off like this forever lol.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

BREAKING NEWS! Companies exist for 1 shocking reason: TO MAKE MONEY!

More people liked H3 then H2, I remember H2 VS H3 threads, and h3 always won.

More at 11.

Oh, and we don't need more of these.

And you don't think a Halo 2 re-release would make money? You don't think that after all the disappointment that all the H2 kids and all the people that Hate Reach and Halo 3 and miss Halo 2 everyday wouldn't go out buy it in a heartbeat. I know I would. Nice try Troll.

Currently I am taking a personal finance class. In finances, there are risks and benefits. The risk (porting it) is not worth the benefit (sales that will be high at first then fall into obscurity). Just look at CoD Classic on XBLA. Yeah, you are going to say it's another series, but no one bought it.

They would make money bringing Halo 2 to Games on Demand, there's no doubt about that. I agree with what totallymassive was saying. Well, except for saying that all their customers played Halo 2 at one time. That's a bit of an exaggeration.

Those halo 2 vs halo 3 threads were probably made in the halo 3 era right? So many more people miss halo 2 now and would give halo 3 for it because they never realized what they had until it was gone.
